The Mandalorian - A Star Wars Story (Season 1 into a 2 hour film) Spoilers! (unfinished)

If you aren’t familiar with his work, Clark Zuckerberg has already done this.

His edit ended up at 3 hr and 27 min.

Google his name and check out his website.

You can look at his “movie” and see what he has done / what you could further cut to shorten to your desired length.

Edit: And from your options, I like “Pursuit of the Asset”. 😃

For some reason his name didn’t bring up the website. ‘clark zuckerberg star wars’ did work though.

Weird seeing that many people have no problem distributing Prequel deleted scenes for free. Not to mention all the times people have asked for BluRay exclusives from other films.
Besides, I already own a legitimatly purchased copy of Solo as well as an iTunes purchased digital copy.

Then why don’t you rip the scenes from your blu ray. MakeMKV does the trick.

These new 4K HDR discs are the best I’ve seen these movies look and sound by several orders of magnitude.
I eagerly await the next Harmy Despecialized!

The D+77 and D+80 releases are quite great if you don’t mind less than 100% despecialization (some recomped shots, etc).

Where can I find more information on these releases (D+77, D+80)?

Create an account on forums.thestarwarstrilogy.com. The D+77 and D+80 releases are there, along with several other projects.

Yeah, I’ve created two accounts there but I’ve never gotten my account approved by an admin so I can browse the forums. 😦

Wait a second… Can’t you just use your originaltrilogy.com login? I’m pretty sure that’s what I’ve been using. Haven’t logged out in a while so…
As I recall I learned that here, that you don’t need to create one just use your OT.com one…

Hi everyone, I have been keeping track of the Star Wars discussions for a while, and just thought to explore other parts of the site. Just came across this amazing project, but it sounds like it’s not available. Is anyone able to point me to the best place to look next?

You’re mistaken, it’s available here. Check your PM’s for the link.

Yeah, there really hasn’t been any talk of ohteedee’s D+77/80/83 outside of the 4K77 forums. That is likely to change once the box set comes out and he updates them with rips of the actual 4K discs rather than using streaming rips.

It should also be noted that the project is explicitly NOT a purist reconstruction - plenty of 1997 recomposited effects are left in purposefully, but IIRC anything that was newly created in 1997 or later is replaced. It’s just the redone wipes and effects that were recomposited from original elements or otherwise cleaned up that ohteedee left in.

How much better do you think the 4k discs will be over the streaming rips?

Star Wars: A New Hope - The Darklighter Cut (Released)

It sounds like he was just sharing it with a few friends to get feedback. Did they tell him it sucked and he quit? Hope not!

I’m very pleased with the results so far. How has it been going? I always wanted to have a cut of the movie with these old school deleted scenes put back in where they originally would have belonged, even if they’re not super clean.

Now then, who has a complete version of the Declan Mulholland Jabba scene to go with it? Every version of it I’ve seen has those tv station borders/logos burned in…

Seriously though, Grindhouse Star Wars was magic for me, because of the sheer number of deleted scenes that were packed in there, but obviously it was turned into a different story entirely. So a project like this still has serious value. Hope it isn’t dead!

It was completed last November!
