Amadeus was a favorite of mine since childhood, and I’ve owned the Director’s Cut DVD since it came out but miss the old theatrical version. It’s crazy to me that there isn’t a quality version of this award-winning masterpiece that is available for purchase.
I would love a link, if you can send it! Thanks for the work you do.
Actually the Theatrical cut has been available on DVD since 1997. As far as HD goes it’s in the same boat as the Theatricals of Star Wars 77-83.

This is one of my favorite movies! I had given up hope ever finding the original theatrical version. I stopped looking. I happened to be having a chat with my son this evening, and Amadeus came up. I don’t know how it’s possible that he has never seen it! I went looking online to see if anything had changed in the past decade or so, and I found this thread!
