very nice work, the scene actually has some potential...its amazing how much better it works without that terrible stab that was executed so slowly that you cannot possibly comprehend how the first two jedi were completely unpreparred. The only thing that stuck out for me was placing that original stab on tin after fisto gets it, it looks like palps and mace walk into the middle room and then the stab is there and the backround looks like they are still in the first room....

regardless I think you did a really great job, esp with the transformation.

I agree, I was watching last night and I think its cool to see the clones searching for Yoda on the pre-imperial walker thing but watching yoda leave and shout out tarful and chewie was unforgivable. I like the idea that we dont need to see how he escaped, it should be assumed that yoda is clever enough to get off the planet. And I dont mind chewie half as much if he isnt pointed out...some of us that dont like the idea can pretend that its a similar wookie and try to forget that George ever thought that was a cool idea. I look forward to seeing the re-worked duel....

I didnt want the Clone War to get jealous of BOTF...
I was curious if you planned to alter any of it considering how Episode 3 turned out. Is leaving Dooku as a wild card still possible since the beginning of Sith pretty clearly establises him as a darksider? Is the orange blade going to stay?

I guess this might be asking too much about details regarding your edit of Ep 3.....any idea on an ETA for that?

I wonder what the options are for extended additions for the first two. I remember the deleted/extended scenes from x1 werent the best quality, and x2 has a bunch of extra scenes, though I cant vouch for thier quality.
the first two stood strong enough on thier own so the need is much less than that of 3 but it would be cool to see anyway....

would it be at all possible to remove obi-wan calling vader "darth"
could you drop in "vader" from other dialogue?

I feel it doesnt flow as nicely...I guess it would be great to take out the name dropping at all but then you would have to hide the lip movement....im not gifted enough to know how much effort that would take. I recall some people have thought to cancel the context of Darth being a title by removing it from Maul, Tyrannus, Plaguis and Sidious in the prequels to make Vader seem special but it seems like so much more work that way...

anyway, just thought ide mention it, im a big fan of all your work so far.

I agree I would also propose to remove the "if only senator amidala were here" nonsense...earlier in the movie she is the leader of the opposition with regard to the military creation act, lets not pretend that just because the droid army was amassing that she would not only change her opinion but be the poster-senator to propose this 'radical amendment'. Then in Sith she still wants the fighting to stop....

I know it was a way to trick Jar Jar but it still feels quite hollow, Jar Jar should know her well enough to know that she wouldnt go along with it.

Hi Hal,
I have enjoyed both AOTC and ROTS immensely...(its hard for me to get past JJ and the Niemodians in TPM, though its no fault of your own)

After losing my computer for a few weeks when my burner broke I mailed out the edits to agr1170, jabberdoo, and bwlag last Monday but havent had confirmation that any have arrived as of yet.
If anyone is interested those 3 should be available to continue the PIF chain shortly.

I followed the official DVD index thread here, and I'd love to actually be able to enjoy Episodes 1 & 2 if these are the cuts that make that possible (not sure it's even a possibility given the material people have to work with).
