Is the 1.6 ISO up on the spleen? I’ve only seen the MKV.

Time to disown the kids. So sorry for your loss.
I haven’t seen the prequels in almost a decade. I don’t plan on watching them ever again. Do I hate them? No, but I don’t find any real entertainment in them.
I think I’m getting past the point of hating them, because I just don’t watch them. Now I feel more embarrassed that they exist. Sure, people can enjoy them if that is their opinion and desire, but I cringe at the thought of all the stupid things in the PT.
I do get slightly annoyed when I think of the wasted potential that was the PT. But now I have Rogue One to be the one and only prequel I need.
Does anyone have the feeling though that even if they released an “original” version it would still be altered in some way as to make people unhappy? Would they go 77 or 81 re-release? Would they feel the need to fix actual errors like Vader lightsaber rotoscoping?
Granted, if it were the true 77 version I would give them all of the monies.
now it’s at least twice a year with the Harmy editions.
Only twice a year? Come on, son! Step up your game.
😃
I have heard that Harmy’s plan is to make 3.0 1080p using the 35mm print scan, but I could be misremembering.
I’m as old-school Star Wars fan as they come - saw them in the theater originally, had all the toys and collect vintage Kenner Star Wars toys as a serious hobby, love only watching the original theatrical releases. But when I’m on another Star Wars forum (reddit.com/r/starwars) I feel genuinely ostracized for daring to state my opinion that the prequels jus plain suck. In fact, there I’m told I’m “not a real fan”, whatever the heck that means.
At least here I tend to find I’m around like-minded folk. There is an appreciate here for the OT, and sometimes that means it’s at odds with the PT. And I’m OK with that.
I’m finishing up the disc labels today and then I can post the whole thing - box art, case inserts, and disc labels. You will need to modify them heavily for the different size of a DVD case.
thanks stealthboy…i appreciate your input.
however ive been searching the last couple days and i cant find any downloads of the cover art? is there not a particular “pinned” area of the website for frequently asked for files? as someone else mentioned the forum doesnt seem to have an internal search feature?
thanks, joey

33 pages of art goodness! You’ll have to read carefully - sometimes people put images right in their post, sometimes they are just links off to somewhere else for a zipped file.
I would rather watch the Holiday Special than any of the prequels. In fact I have thrown out my DVDs of the movies they’re so bad. I tried watching them again about a year ago thinking “they can’t be THAT bad”, but oh yes. They just get worse on every viewing. And that’s usually not a good quality in a movie. The DVDs went into the trash the next day.
The way I see it, there are now 5 Star Wars movies. Rogue One is the prequel, then you have Star Wars through The Force Awakens.

Did you make the box or did you modify an already existing one?
I made the box and box art from scratch.
I would personally not print onto sticky labels that are then applied to the discs. They can peel off and cause unbalances in trying to play the disc. There are a couple printers (Canon MX922 is one) that are sub-$100 and can print directly onto an inkjet-ready disc (plain white surface).
Just finished up a draft of my box set. Used gloss photo paper with spray adhesive to attach to thicker card stock for the box.

I have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro (no blu ray). I’m willing to buy a blu ray burner for this project, but am looking for advice on a good model. Suggestions? Please forgive me if I’m not asking in the right place; I’ll do so once I find it, if this isn’t it.
There is a forum for technical questions that would probably give you some better results, but in the meantime: I have an iMac that I’m using, and I got an external USB Samsung TSST SE-506CB/RSWD blu-ray burner that works great so far. It cost me under a hundred dollars.
It’s been a while since I posted. i am trying to find the artwork for the cases in the video linked below. I ran across this the other day and just loved what I saw. I am sure they must be linked here, somewhere. But I ain’t finding them.
You’ll want the ronwlim artwork set. I believe he put everything together into a download link many pages back.
Working on a set for the Despecialized Blu-ray set I’m putting together. I’m trying to go simple. I’ve used quite a few posts in here for inspiration! Thank you all for the great work, and for sharing it with everyone. When I’m done of course I’ll make the high-res versions for anyone who might care.
Fan made SilverScreen Edition Artwork posted on TheStarWarsTrilogy.com’s facebook page - I don’t know about you but I like it!
That… that is BEAUTIFUL.

There’s a whole separate subforum dedicated to covers and labels. I’m pretty sure there are threads for resources like you are after as well. http://originaltrilogy.com/discussion/DVD-Covers-Disc-Labels-and-Other-Fan-Artwork/id/20
Thanks! Looks like I have my weekend project 😃.
It is my goal to make a custom case for all of these discs. I have seen a few custom projects and am inspired. Is there a place where people share artwork source files like high-res logos and fonts? I have a library of source imagery myself, and would like to contribute.
I plan to do a ten disc set (I can’t do 50GB discs), with perhaps three 3-disc cases and one 1-disc case, or just ten 1-disc cases. Haven’t decided on that yet.

However it was when he claimed during an interview that Han was always meant, all along to shoot second, instead of first, that I had to conclude madness has consumed him.
Yeah, this was total BS. Han shooting first is so much more consistent with his cavalier attitude. This change bothered me the most out of all SE changes because it actually changed the very core trait of an important character.
As for the prequel changes, I think George is just never happy. If he had someone else write and direct we would have something different (and IMHO much better), but it also would have let him let go. He has that famous quote about films never being completed, just abandoned. I think he always feels like he has the need to “correct” or finish previous work, even if the changes are so inconsequential - to him he has “done something”.
Everything can be found on myspleen
That doesn’t really help the kind of people asking for torrents. 😃
Honestly I watch Harmy’s as my go-to versions, but I simply adore the Silver Screen and Grindhouse editions as well and put them in rotation just for the old-school film house vibe. I’ve really been enjoying SW 2.7. So it’s nice having the “pure and clean” as well as the gritty versions of each film.
TFA is just the blu-ray release, and I don’t acknowledge the existence of the prequels, so that’s that.
These are wonderful. Thank you for sharing!
I always refer to it as “Star Wars” because that’s what it was called when it came out in 1977.
Watching 2.7 now. Really appreciate the entire community for this. So far I am finding all of the colors to be much better. The grey of the Death Star is a standout improvement.
Incidentally, I also converted this to m4v using Handbrake with RF of 18 and it turned out really nice for watching on my AppleTV. Thanks again everyone.
