Do you think that Lucas' directing style has changed since 1977?

Strange...I never heard of any of them until I heard about them being cast in Star Wars.
Seems to me that there are far better actors among their contemporaries...
darn, I was hoping IMDB had some kind of age-based search.

SW fans wait at wrong theater
Time
A 12:01AM was offered for TPM, and I attended in Cleveland. When I bought the ticket, I just walked up to the box office and bought it (a few days earlier). There was no line.
There was quite a crowd at the theater that night though.

There was no 12:01AM offered for AOTC. I don't remember now if I got my ticket early or not.

If there is a 12:01AM for ROTS, I will attend. If I feel the need to buy the ticket early, I will.

Any TiVo/PVR users here?
Time
Rikter, you should sell those TiVo series 1 sets on eBay. People that don't want to subscription service buy up the series 1.

I personally have a Toshiba RD-XS32. Combination DVD burner and 80GB hard drive.

I've used it to transfer my Packers/Browns video to DVD (the game I went to in Dec. 2001). Right now, I'm working on a Star Wars compilation. I've got Star Wars to Jedi, Star Wars to Star Wars and Nova: The Magic of Special Effects burned to disk. My second disk is going to include Exposure: Star Wars Edition and the soon to be played Lego Star Wars program that is going to appear on Cartoon Network next month.

once I've transferred stuff off my VHS tapes, I'm removing my VCR completely.

10th grade work: Modern Crimes, Dante Style
Arson
If there's a building you wish to burn,
And home you should go in a bright bronze urn.
In hades your flesh will burn forever,
The pain and agony, ceasing never.

Forgery
If fabrications are yout transgression,
Then to bliss there will be no ascension.
For to the Inferno, you will descend,
And a penmanship class you must attend.

Drunk Driving with an Accident
If liquor and dope you foolishly take,
An accident you will probably make.
When you cash in, your victim will, with glee,
Run over your soul for eternity.

The Return of Six Degrees of Star Wars
Time
Bob Denver was in A Private Affair with Jim Backus.
Jim Backus was in Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World with tons of people, like Peter Falk.
Peter Fauk was in Murder By Death with Alec Guiness.
(BTW: I highly recommend Murder By Death if you haven't seen it.)

Coming up with these new names is getting tough...

Here's something to work from:

John Call

(Pulled up the IMDB list of 100 worst rated movies, saw Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.)

24-Hour Reality Channel... God save us all!
Time
Ok, I've got a question:
What makes it reality??

Anyone and everyone acts different when they KNOW a camera is around, so its not exactly reality, is it. True reality would be from a hidden camera series.

Also, I believe that article specifically used the word 'unscripted'...
If its unscripted, how exactly do you have day-by-day games to determine who "wins".

I heard that a teacher at my school spent an entire class period (40 minutes) analyzing the 3 line poem Tale of a Ball Turret Gunner.

That made me sick to my stomach, and from that day forward, I cannot adequately handle anything involving poetry.

I suppose its a shame...I was quite good an emulating Dante's style for describing the levels of hell.

LEGO Star Wars - the games!!
Time
I have seen, but not played, the demo as well as a movie of the gameplay. Unfortunately, my video card will not support it, and I just bought it about 6 months ago. I'm not interested in paying another $100 for another card.

Anyone see the announcement over at tf.n about Cartoon Network playing some kind of Lego Star Wars movie?
This is going right on my 'Beyond the Movies' compilation...

EW.com Star Wars Quiz
Time
Far too easy. Perfect 15.

I wrote my own SW quiz system for a Star Wars Combine contest. Let me see if I can find some of the questions:
- Subpro and Incom collaborated to produce which ship?
TL-118 "Starhammer"
C-73 Tracker
Z-95 Headhunter
T-65B X-Wing

- The idea for the design of Boba Fett's Slave I came from which of these items?
A blob of Play-Do GL's kids were playing with
A passing car with the back hatch open.
A cloud.
A wall-mounted Lamp

- The Verpine race uses a number system of:
Base 2
Base 6
Base 10
Base 16

- Mark Hamill has been busy since 1983. Which of the following cartoon or video game characters does he lend his voice to?
Batman's Joker
Starsiege's Harabec
Time Squad's Larry 3000
All of the Above

- The T-21 Light Repeating Blaster prop was made using what machine gun as its base?
Thompson Model 1928
Russian Degtyarev DPM
German MG42
British-used Lewis Gun

I put together a list of 75 questions like that.

April Fools, my favorite day of the year
Time
I sit here at work, for the first time, on April Fools. For the past 7 years, April Fools has been on my day off.

I have changed all the computer names.
I have a button pinned on my shirt that says "Ask me about my lobotomy."

I hope to have plenty of fun today.

I recommend stopping by startrek.com today and reading everything on the first page. The Mirror Universe FAQs, the rejected TV shows info, Enterprise Saved (with some strings attached), its all extremely funny.
