Isaac Hayes Quits 'South Park'

There is an ever-growing cultural rift between normal people and the Hollywood crowd.
I think its reasonable to think they look at themselves as better than everyone else, so they need something "new and trendy" to believe. After all, most of the major religions of the world are over a thousand years old (Islam is going on 1400 years old, Christianity almost 2000 and Judaism is far older...I'm not even sure how old).
They look at scientology like a really expensive country club. Only the wealthy elite can pay enough money to become part of it, so its going to, by that reason, keep out the lower people from the other side of that rift I mentioned.

I agree that Isaac Hayes is making himself out as a hypocrite. Southpark has made fun of every major religion at some point or another and he said nothing, then they make fun of scientology and he decides to quit.

He can dish it out, but he obviously cannot take it.

Since I've now got a bit of a forum for this, I wanted to give my opinion of Tom Cruise.
Over the past few months...maybe a year he's dropped Nicole Kidman (What the heck is wrong with HIM??), hooked up with a 22-year old Katie Holmes, done a few midling quality movies and jumped up-and-down on Oprah's couch.
Previous to that time period, things were rather quiet.
I think there is a very easy explanation for his actions. Its called a Mid-Life Crisis.
Thank you for your time, I had to get that out of my system.

i remember it was on PC & SEGA CD...it was a decent computer chess game, and the animations were funny as hell
I've got it, and it still runs just fine, even on Windows XP.
Best part: The site I found it at indicated its abandonware. I'd have to go searching for it again though, I don't remember where it was that I did find it.

I've got Chessmaster 6000 (maybe its 7000, not quite sure about the number) and the best AI I've been able to beat is the Novice. Its also been a while since I last played a game.
I don't think I'm all that good.

I've actually never played Risk...but I have played the shareware version of a Windows-based game called World Empire (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.), which claims to be similar to Risk.

He went blind in one eye as the result of glocoma (sp?).

I remember that very well because his trouble might have started when he got hit on the head by a pitch in a game against the Cleveland Indians. It was Dennis Martinez pitching.

Too true. I remember back before the 04 Presidential election, a lot of Kerry-supporters were complaining about jobs being shipped overseas (you know, as part of the arguement that Bush 43 lost the most jobs of any president since Herbert Hoover).
Well, as it turns out, there are actually more jobs outsourced into the US, than out of it. I want to say that Honda has 4 or 5 planst just in Ohio alone (the Element is made Ohio, I know that for sure).

Blockbusters will never die. The general public hates small character-driven indie films; big 'splosions, titties, and great sepcial effects make the world go round. By 2025 they will be much cheaper but to say that films will all cost 15 million and be non-blockbusters is retardedly naive. The public is too dumb to allow this to happen.
I don't know...as I recall one of the bigger hits this year was March of the Penguin.

Oscar Night...
Time
I was considering watching the opening monologue, but by the time I remembered and turned it on, they were far into the actual awards, so I turned on the Law and Order: SVU marathon that USA was playing.

I saw a grand total of 1 movie in the theater this year: ROTS. So I really couldn't care less about the Oscars. I can count on 1 hand the number of movies I've seen in the theaters since 2000.
Let's see...Attack of the Clones, Star Trek: Nemesis, Return of the King, Revenge of the Sith (...were there anymore??) I don't think so.

I'd rather watch an old classic on DVD or Turner Classic Movies than a new movie in the theater.
If I had the money, I'd love to buy an old theater and run old movies in it 1960s and before. If people really understood what a GOOD movie was, maybe Hollywood wouldn't put out sequels and rehashes all the time.
Would you rather see Rat Race, or the movie it was supposedly a remake of, Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World.

You're right- I had noticed the same thing. It *might* just have been his way of delivering the line but you never know.
Saw that myself. That's part of my thinking that he might be a cylon.

Mario with a lightsaber has (sort of) been done. Both Smash Bros. Melee and the original Smash Bros. had a lasersword item that anyone (including Mario) can put up at use.

Like the bat, the Beam Sword can help turn the tides of battle. Everyone calls this one the Light Saber for obvious reasons, but that makes Mr. Lucas mad, so quit it. If you use this laser weapon correctly, you can really whack your opponent high into the air. You can of course pull a Darth and throw this weapon, too.

Member of Fallout Boy: I thought that sketch was cancelled.
NP: Who said anything about a Sketch?

It's obvious that she has a sense of humor about SW. Then again, she'd have to after appearing in the PT.
And every single, male Star Wars fan is rushing out to the specialty stores to find C-3PO costumes.

Biorhythms
Time
I would not have any knowledge of biorhythms, nor would I care to have any knowledge if it were not for one library patron, an older gentleman that uses biorhythm information to know whether he should play the lottery.
(I cannot make this stuff up, its that strange.)
There are 2 websites I use for him to get his biorhythm. One of them has an interesting feature I will discuss momentarily.

Don't ask me to explain what a biorhythm is. I don't really know. I don't track myself to see when I'm having good or bad days, so I have no clue whether it works. I have found a certain comedic aspect to it.
Compatibility.

Now, if you go to www.facade.com/biorhythm/ and enter your birthday, you get this chart.
Along the right-hand side of the screen are the names of famous people that you can "check your compatibility" with. Or, if you like, there is a spot to enter a person's birthday.
Well, take a look at that list, and you'll see Natalie Portman is included.

For comic value online: How compatible are you?

Last time I checked...
Now, I'm sure most of you knew on your own, but I thought I'd give the source of all that stuff I mentioned:
invulnerable and fast- Super Star
launch fireballs- Fire Flower
swim and jump like a frog- Frog Suit of SMB3
Fly- Racoon Mario/Tanooki Mario of SMB3 (and sort of Rabbit Mario from Super Mario Land 2 for Game Boy)
change into a statue- Tanooki Mario of SMB3 (I think it was press down+A while you were in the air for the transformation
throw hammers- Hamme Bros. Suit from SMB3
grow rabbit ears- Rabbit Mario in Super Mario Land 2
clean up after himself- from Mario Sunshine...He's got a water gun on his back that he uses to clean up paint
and I understand he throws a pretty good party, otherwise he wouldn't have had 7 of them already- as Darth Simon already got, there have been 7 Mario Party games (surprised me as well, I heard about 1 and 2, then before I realized it, they were on 6 and 7).

Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat
Time
Believe it or not, I have never played Mortal Kombat. Not in the arcade. Not on a home video game system. Not 1, 2, 3 or any other version.
That said, I have to go with Street Fighter.

Now, if you were asking about movies, I've seen TV versions of both, and I actually think the Mortal Kombat movie was better (keep in mind, both movies were pretty bad). Such a shame that Street Fighter was Raul Julia's last movie. He was a better man than that.

Mario

Sonic's just got a spin move, speed, and the ability to act like a (s)pinball.

Mario can become invulnerable and fast, launch fireballs, swim and jump like a frog, fly, change into a statue, throw hammers, grow rabbit ears, clean up after himself...and I understand he throws a pretty good party, otherwise he wouldn't have had 7 of them already.

1) The resurrection 'chamber'. I was expecting to see banks and banks of bio pods (ala The Matrix) but *one* bathtub? Do they *only* come back to life one at a time? Yes I realize that they were on Caprica and it was probably a portable unit or something set up quickly and it wasn't exactly like the Cylon homeworld and/or the ship that we saw. Also why have the folks stand around when they're being reborn? Do they *know* beforehand who will be reborn and where? Inquiring minds want to know!
What did we hear...there are 9 humanoid models? Well, perhaps they have one for each model and machine-like efficency is what makes them look alike.

Why do they stand around? My guess would be to help the next whoever get acclamated. It looked like a lot of things still need to be processed after being 'reborn'.

As for how they know, the memories that get transferred have to be processed somehow. Death can be a very sudden thing and a big burst of data (needed to transmit very quickly) would need to be reduced into manageable chunks for the new cylon body. Anyways, there must be some kind of computer system they can monitor.
"Oh, looks like the Six on the Pegasus just bought it. We've got about 30 minutes before the new body wakes up."

5 blades
Time
I've got the Mach 3...I think. Whichever is the non-battery one. Its done well enough for me.

I think what makes a big difference between it and my old razor (an ?Aquos? 2-blade) was that the Mach 3 has both a pivot for the head and the spring-mount blades. The soothing gel stuff only lasts for 3 or 4 uses, but when its there that helps as well.

I use a Wahl trimmer for my goatee and sideburns.

Here's my question about this:
If placing the blades closer is what reduces irritation (as they say in the commercial), why not simply offer a 3-blade model with closer blades? Why do they need to add any blades?
