General Star Wars <strong>Random Thoughts</strong> Thread
Time

Binary sunset was originally Old Ben’s theme that George decided to put with the sunset, however the theme became associated with Luke and became his theme in my mind.

But the scores of both the prequels and the sequels throw this theme around so often that it has become the generic “Force Theme”.

JEDIT: Wowie sorry for having the same post as Dom.

Take it with a grain of salt though; at least once did I catch false information (saying that some versions of the 1977 film didn’t have the scene with Chewie and the Mouse Droid.)

That’s half true. Marcia Lucas thought the moment was nice and apparently fought to keep it in the movie. I don’t think that it was released without that moment, though.

This is a Star Wars site Snooker, I don’t have to “get out” as the guy in your black and white picture is motioning. So, I’ve never seen the movie he posted! Sue me! Hehe! I’m sure I’d enjoy it. There are people out there that haven’t seen certain films.

I would repost the gif in reverse but I can’t be bothered to find one.

It’s a shame that sarcasm is hard to convey in text.

Gonna knock ROTS to the bottom spot after rewatching the unedited blu-rays. Holy shit it’s so boring. The Padme/Anakin scenes are 20x worse in this movie than in the last one! George Lucas really should have gotten a script editor instead of waiting until 3 months before shooting to actually finish the fucking script.

Clones had its moments (the Obi-Wan stuff is semi-interesting and the arena sequence is fun) and Phantom Menace feels like there was some heart put into it. Sith feels so sterile.

I guess that’s what you get with a trilogy of movies with the sole purpose of selling toys.

STAR WARS EPISODE I: Dawn of War (Old Version) (* unfinished project *)
Time

Hey guys.

I’m going to put this project on hold for the foreseeable future. I set my own expectations impossibly high for what position I am in in life. Do know that the spark of hope still remains and I will complete my extreme re-edit of The Phantom Menace one day, however that day is not soon.

A few clips of unfinished work will be uploaded in the coming hours so that I may get some closure in what relatively little work I have done.

Thank you all so much.

STAR WARS EPISODE I: Dawn of War (Old Version) (* unfinished project *)
Time

While the Naboo strike team heads to the surface, the Jedi are sent as ambassadors into the main Separatist ship. There they encounter retaliation from droid forces and eventually the assassin Maul.

Their battle leads them into the ships engine room.

Eventually the ships security shields separate the Jedi duo, leading to Qui Gon’s death. All of these scenes are inter-cut with the ground assault and the starship assault. This entire sequence will sort of mirror the Battle of Endor, except with far more focus on Obi-Wan’s story rather than the pilots or Padme.

Please don’t raise your expectations regarding the space/ship sequences. They will NOT be photo-realistic. Expecting that would be completely unreasonable. I WILL however do my best to make my sequences work despite the visual effect quality. I am unfortunately limited in terms of visual effects software.

Anyways, thank you guys for all of the support!
