I’m still thinking about my ‘Sith Fleet as the MacGuffin’ idea, so I came up with a crawl:

The iron grip of the FIRST ORDER has spread to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Whispers of a long abandoned IMPERIAL FLEET circulate the core worlds.
GENERAL LEIA ORGANA dispatches secret agents to gather intelligence while SUPREME LEADER KYLO REN, determined to crush the RESISTANCE, searches the galaxy for this rumored fleet.
Meanwhile REY, the last hope of the Jedi, researches ancient Jedi texts hoping to find clues to defeat her dreaded rival…

I feel like it’s missing something, and I feel like the last sentence can be improved. Keep in mind, with this version, the opening would pan down to the Resistance base where Rey is levitating.

My justification for Theed being so small is that if it was any closer it would sort of go against my brains idea of what surrounds it. But, it could just as easily be some other city.

I was having problems with placing the heads around, but more work will be done.

The extended Luke and Leia fight has proven itself very difficult to complete so it might not end up finished.

And I’ve been having a surprisingly hard time finding good audio for Threepio because of his specific intonation in that scene.

I’m going to work on Ajan Kloss -> Naboo. It sounds super fantastic !

And I’ll be rendering a High Quality version of my Endor establishing shot.

You could just not mention the planet’s name and add a second sun to that one shot with Rey’s speeder

Wow! That gave me an idea!

Maybe the crawl explains that Kylo Ren is searching for a rumored hidden fleet that he can use to dominate the galaxy. The Resistance learns about this and wants to stop them. The fleet becomes the macguffin.

Later in the movie, when Ren finally finds Exegol, we discover that Palpatine has returned!!

The order could go like:

Rey Training intercut with Kylo on Mustafar
Poe and Finn’s mission
The Resistance briefing - The largest fleet the Galaxy has ever known is hidden on Exegol (presumed to be abandoned), and the First Order almost has it!
Ren builds his mask again to block out the ‘calling to the light’. (If going by what Snoke said in TLJ, the Force is starting to ‘even itself out’ now that Palpatine has returned, pushing Kylo further to the light.)
Rey and Friends go to Pasanna.
Rey and Friends go to Kjimi
Ren finds Exegol and Palpatine. Palpatine seemingly recruits him.
Rey and Friends at The Death Star
Ben is redeemed

etc etc
