I’ve always thought that there was something off about him. First red flag was his stupid remarks about transgender people, now this.

Somehow I just got into an argument on Reddit about how Rey was the first female protagonist in Star Wars. One guy replied saying ‘Jyn Erso’, and another guy left this gem:
Anakin is the main character of the saga, according to GL himself. The PT is the fall of Anakin. The OT is the rise and fall of Vader. The ST was intended to be the legacy of Vader but it feels more like a cash grab than anything.
Leia is not a secondary character to Luke. Anyone who’s read even a single OT-era novel would know that if anything, Leia is more of a main character than Luke.
The guy then talked about Rey being a mary sue and then said this about me:
That comment has to be rage-bait and I’ve reported it as such.

Inspired by Tarantino’s fetish for 70mm, the entire edit will be presented in that aspect ratio!

I probably will, but I’m only adding music to the list as I actually put it in the edit. I just haven’t found a place for it yet, but keep in mind I’ve only got a quarter of it done. 😃

Imagine if Episode II mirrored Episode V, but in a better way? Instead of having forced callbacks (3P0’s head getting dragged around/Boba Fett), we get thematic parallels.
Secretly, the Jedi council have been planning to overthrow the Chancellor. They’ve figured out that he’s the Sith Lord. They know that Anakin and him are close, so they try to distance them. Anakin keeps feeling the call to action, he senses Palpatine, his friend, in danger. Obi-Wan tells him not to go, the feeling will pass in time. Anakin leaves, and sees this:

This also helps things tie into the Original Trilogy. When Luke’s about to leave Dagobah to save his friends, Ben says: “Luke, I don’t want to lose you to the emperor the way I lost Vader.” Implying that the circumstances were very similar.
This shows that Luke has a much stronger will than his father, and that his father is redeemable. Luke’s made the same mistake, only he didn’t join the baddie. This also gives much stronger motivation to Vader’s turn. He feels betrayed by the Jedi, and turns to the only person who’s left. This won’t be the first time Kenobi lies for his benefit.

I feel like with the right dialogue I could make the Dex’s diner scene work. It shows some Obi-Wan smiling and laughing, too.
Maybe Dex also knew Maul at some point and Obi asks Dex if Maul actually made the dart. He tells him to look on Geonosis, because of the markings or style or something.
P.S. I don’t think that the library scene in Episode II will fit with the tone. Idk.
What music should be playing?
I’m not really a fan of the colloquial dialogue like “Take a breath, man.” Feels out of place when the rest of the dialogue feels like they’re ancient samurai or whatever.
I’ll probably just edit the subtitle files myself but I felt like voicing this.
