Star Wars is inherently political.
Whatever you’re trying to start isn’t worth my time. I’m done.

I don’t work for the mouse, I don’t care how many tickets are sold!
All I’m saying is I’m not digging your vibe here, man.
JEDIT: Plus, that wasn’t an attempt of intimidation. You think too highly of yourself if you think a rando on the internet is trying to threaten you over a movie.
This thread is against toxicity, Nicky.
That looks really cool!
Here’s some context for the clip:
The Sovereign (Trade Federation) have discreetly occupied the small world of Naboo under the orders of an unknown benefactor. The senate is suspicious after 2 days with no contact with the planet. Two Jedi Knights are sent by Naboo’s senator Palpatine to investigate. They also go radio silent. The Senate is on edge.
Remember to turn on subtitles!
Passoword: Bibble
The whole point of The Phantom Menace in the grand scheme of the trilogy is to show Palpatine scheming his way to power. This edit (I hope) helps show that a little better and makes everyone’s intentions very clear. Hypothetical first time viewers may assume that Valorum is the mystery benefactor, when in reality it’s Palpatine.
is this going to be in Destroy All Jedi?
I’m sort of editing two projects at once. This one is for a more traditional (yet still Japanese) edit of Episode I.

This was a great idea Snooker, and it makes for a very beautiful shot. I haven’t watched it in awhile, but is this the establishing shot for the scene where Gunray tells hologram Sidious that they have control of the planet?
It’s actually the one for the Nute/Sio Bibble scene.
That’s really cool snooker! Is that shot only two seconds? That plus hearing some distant sounds of fire and explosions would really round it out well. You should definitely perfect and share this shot if you’d be willing!
If I could suggest one thing, you could possibly slow the slow down the pillars of smoke coming from the fires a little? Since they’re both at a pretty good distant, I think these large pillars of smoke would move a little slower, if you can do that.
Very very cool. Now if only we could see civilians running in the streets or something at the beginning of the film.
The original shot was only 2 seconds, but I’ve gone ahead and added your suggestions. I’ve extended the shot by a second, and I’ve slowed the fires by 50%. I will update this post later with a gif preview, and the raw hd shot later still.
That is gorgeous, snooker
The scene works like this! The first one I think works a little bit better, I think.
★★★★★★★★★☆
After some reconsideration, I’ve decided to upgrade my rating to a perfect 10.
Satisfied, Java Man?
Of course I’m not satisfied. Why do you think I write? A man writes because he is tormented. Because he doubts. He needs to constantly prove to himself and others that he is worth something.
Deep.
It’s a line from the movie, just in case it wasn’t clear.
What if the people of Naboo were more obviously in danger under Federation rule?

HQ pic:
Other than the obvious flames, there’s also a thick fog at the bottom of the frame (from fires down below, maybe).
I thought the expression was ‘If it’s yellow, let it mellow. If it’s brown, watch it drown?’
My sister (18, same as I) is such a dumbass. We left the house for five days only to return to find that she didn’t flush the fucking toilet. Naturally, it smelled like hell.
Why would anybody do that?
Two collages, one new, one months old, both on the NSFW side, so considered yourself warned:

NSFW Collage #2
I don’t get it.
I’d be fine with Wedge returning, even if he only has one or two lines.
I’ve started excercising every day and I’ve been feeling very happy/proud of myself.
A parody of TLJ remake using Brick as the template:
That’s pretty fucking rad.
I didn’t really care for it, nor the 2008 Clone Wars series which gets so much love. Rebels, though, seemed more ‘Disney Channel’ to me, and so I did not stick with it through to the end.
I hope ‘Resistance’ is a stylized animation, not more fugly 3D people. 2003-4 Clone Wars Microseries is where it’s at.
Sorry, irrelevant, irreverent comment over.
Resistance is cell-shaded 3d.
I don’t know how a person can be considered any kind of Original Trilogy fan if that person outright hates the concluding chapter and consequently finds the trilogy as a whole to be a flop, but whatever.
I don’t how someone could remotely call the oot a flop.
A flop for me.
So you actually think oot is a flop?
I hate Palpatine’s depiction
Get out. McDiarmid’s performance is one of ROTJ’s saving graces.
He’s a Saturday morning cartoon supervillain.
That’s what makes him so good. He’s evil he loves it.
TESB showed the series had potential to be more than silly space opera rooted in black-vs-white mentality. Palpatine and his entire shtick is a regression.
Goooood. I can feel your anger.
Would it be possible that when Padme says, “you’re a slave?” cut to the scene where they both look over then to jar jar hijinks with the pit droid, and back to ankain and padme when anakin says." wouldn’t have lasted this long if I wasn’t so good at building things."
I think this makes him sound more cynical about being a slave and like he has come to terms with it more, which i think would help to “age” him up, plus the normal line is cringe inducing every time.
Like i said I’m not sure this would work smoothly, but anything to get rid of “I’m and person and my name is anakin.” its just too aggressive and contrived.
That sounds amazing!
Yeah, I’m pretty sure there’s sharpening. It’s a positive thing, in the case of these movies.
Just make sure the sharpness filter dosent go over burned in subtitles, cause it makes it look like hot trash.
Green is also the color of TIE fighter lasers, so the original intent may have been foreshadowing?
Someone’s probably already suggested this:
When Obi-Wan is wandering around the Death Star disabling the tractor beam, add a stack of rocks in front of him. It’s so he’s better concealed from the Imperials.
True, true! It totally has that, and has the “good/bad blue/red” vibe going for it as well.
I actually had an idea like this but flipping it around by making Phasma’s blaster shoot green lasers and give it the same sound as Padmé’s TPM blaster. Such a cool sound and you never hear it again. Phasma and the other First Order weapons have such a dull “pew pew” sound in my opinion. And since Phasma’s armor is made from the chrome hull of one of Palpatine’s Nubian ships, I thought it’d make some since that she might use a Nubian blaster too.
Aw man, I like Phasma’s ‘pew pew’.
