Norm MacDonald shouldn’t have said what he said. I really enjoy the old chunk of coal’s comedy, but this isn’t one of his greatest hits.

Norm however shouldn’t suddenly be shunned by the world for this. Sarcasm is hard to convey in print, and he could have said this with his most sarcastic voice possible. It’s very likely he played this as a joke.

I’ve always thought that Luke’s room in Episode II looked really off, and I think I’ve isolated a few issues.

Before:

After:

Those lights were turned on in Episode IV, so I went ahead and turned them on here, too.

Also, those blinking lights on the walls are only red, green, and white in Episode IV, while in Episode II they also flash magenta and orange. I’ve removed that, because I believe that it’s one of the main culprits of the weird continuity.

I’ve also drastically cut down the scene for better effectiveness:

This scene is now about Anakin repressing his feelings and the Jedi frowning upon that, which I believe is better than him freaking out. It benefits his character and the story greatly.

Nothing touched by McQuarrie was actually in the prequels. Now, Coruscant was inspired by his designs, but he didn’t work on those movies. I don’t think much else was directly inspired by him and not Doug Chiang or whoever.

It would be very tricky to turn it into a video, and I’d have to make custom mattes in order to eliminate monotony. The scene’s camera isn’t very dynamic, so I guess it is possible to do?
