Yeah, Star Wars is Sci-Fantasy. It has more in common with The Hobbit than it does with Star Trek (in terms of theming and ‘realism’).

Star Wars isn’t realistic, nor is it trying to be realistic.

Jango Fett doesn’t do a heck of a lot of walking, though. Dooku having spurs would be really cool (I think) during Obi-Wan’s interrogation. Also, I want to portray Dooku as more of a Hans Landa type villian. Someone who’s always ten steps ahead.

Here’s an idea: how about every scene in space has no sound effects? So it’s a little more ‘sci-fi’. I don’t know, it seems like something Tarantino would do.

Of course there would be intense rumbling in the cockpits, but the actual shots in space would have nothing (think of Interstellar).

JEDIT: I’ve also been thinking about replacing all laser gun sound effects with actual gun sounds. And maybe giving Dooku/ some other character spurs.

I wasn’t happy with where I was at in the editing to make any more previews. I’m probably going to build a full on PC and keep backups whenever I’m able to do that.

When I am able to edit again, I’m not going to remake exactly what I did so far, so even the previews will be out of date. I’ll rethink everything to make it seem more like a ‘Tarantino-plot’ rather than the Star Wars plot but with new dialogue. The major beats will be there, sure, but I’ll go full on nonlinear timeline and the gangster drama tone.

JEDIT: And I’ve just got to say that I’m truly honored with how much you’ve all anticipated this project.

My laptop just decided to die and corrupt the hard drive with it. It was relatively cheap, so I’m not too upset, but I’m never getting back those files.

The laptop I’ve been using to make this edit is unfortunately dead, and I’ve never made any backups. This and all other edits of mine are on hold indefinitely. I’m sorry.

Yeah, I’ve always thought that that blooper would be amazing. I haven’t seen it in high quality anywhere, though.

I was more specifically thinking about the Cantina, there’s a few guys at the bar and a special edition alien (one of the ones that replaces wolfman).

I realised the other day that Vaping is canon in Star Wars.
