What is your source for the background hyperspace element?
What is your source for the background hyperspace element?
I can definitely still change that shot. Do you mean shudder to the camera or to the tunnel element?
If it’d be helpful, I’d be happy to generate appropriate audio for the scene. I mean, I’d have to anyway. 😛
That would be lovely!
JEDIT: I just noticed a little mistake:
Not at all!
I’ve finished this scene except for the behind the back shot.
Frame-by-frame masking sucks really hard.
Is there any way to briefly sneak ‘Han’s theme’ from Solo into this movie? I’m really can’t think of anything.
Maybe they meet DJ in the brig on the Raddus?
(Unfinished) Disney-styled Hyperspace effect:
I added the missing support beam.
I noticed in Solo that you could see the Falcon’s hull through the cockpit, which makes sense, so I added it. I also added some window smudges.
Removed unnecessary characters/details from this scene.
I also hate that ‘ultra-wide lens’ effect this shot has, so I removed it. The horizon is flat!
I’m sorry I don’t have anything to show 😦
Maybe it would have gone like this:
Solo looks like they just didn’t correct the raw footage at all.
Man, I forgot how much I love this movie! Good stuff!
He has eyebrows in Rogue One and Rebels, funnily enough.
Star Wars is a buffet, enjoy the stuff you want, and leave the rest. 😃
I want to agree wholeheartedly. If only someone would develop Kurtz’s ideas for ROTJ into a comic or animated film.
😉
I’m trying my hardest to get into animation, so…
Wow! I don’t have much to say except, I’m a huge fan of your work!
Super excited!
I’d love to do an edit of Bohemian Rhapsody that ends on Freddie’s AIDS diagnosis rather than Live Aid, to get away from the stereo-typical Hollywood ending the film has. I feel like it’s possible to mold a really solid movie out of the weird, wildly inaccurate one.
And also removing the director’s name. That’d be nice.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage HomeStar Trek IV: The Voyage Home is the fourth film in a hexalogy.
But it’s often considered the third film in a trilogy-within-a-series, beginning with Wrath of Khan. It’s even sold this way in some box sets.
If we can say crap like “Last Crusade is the third movie in a trilogy,” we can isolate trilogies within longer series.
Hey, wait a second…how many movies are in the Star Wars series now…?
upcoming film’s with Tom Hardy.
Is this confirmed anywhere? I’m getting excited!
Ew.
You could replace TC-14 with 3PO for a quick cameo.
Y’know how Force Awakens is a soft remake of A New Hope? So is Phantom Menace, except it feels like it’s been translated through 16 different languages. Is it possible to shift Phantom Menace closer to A New Hope/The Force Awakens? Of course, adding a superweapon to the plot is theoretically possible (although stupid).
What if Naboo serves the same ‘plot location’ as the Death Star? The movie starts on Tatooine (Tatooine/Jakku), we learn of a captured queen, we rescue her from enemy territory (Death Star/Occupied Naboo/Starkiller Base), there’s a space battle as we escape the enemy (TIE Fighter Attack/Escape from Naboo/Escape from Jakku), we return to a safe area (Yavin IV/Coruscant/D’Qar), there’s a final battle for peace and freedom (Battle of Yavin/Reclaiming Naboo/Battle of Starkiller Base). Of course you’d occasionally cut to what the Queen is up to in the first act.
I feel like you’d have to shift the ‘point of view’ character to Anakin for this to work, taking the place of Luke or Rey as the protagonist. Maybe the Naboo royal starship is just the Jedi’s ship?
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan could serve the same narrative purpose as 3PO and R2, stranded on a planet (with a broken ship), they meet a boy who wishes to help and join them among the stars.
Is there any way to fix Phantom Menace’s sense of momentum? It feels like the film is split into ‘The Opening Part’, ‘The Tatooine Part’, ‘The Coruscant Part’, and ‘The End Part’ without a real sense of progression or reason why they need to be in that order.
A New Hope has events naturally build into each-other. The Death Star part doesn’t feel like ‘The Death Star Part’ if that makes any sense.
Are there any structural changes that would fix all of this? Add a sense of urgency to the whole thing? Or is this problem so fundamental to the script that any editing decision would be useless?
I assumed title drop in January and first trailer in April, like The Last Jedi.
That is really cool. I feel like it would take quite a bit of time to do this for the entire OT.
Yeah, definitely.
