I love everything about this flick we’ve seen so far.
I love everything about this flick we’ve seen so far.
The Last Force Hope Returns the Empire Clones of the Menacing Sith
Take it or leave it.
An attempt at implementing the ‘God, that’s hot!’ blooper:
You don’t have to bring your hatred of the new movies into everything you post here, Zerome.
I could stabilize the Obi-Wan and R4 shots to help them fit better.
Approaching Kamino in the style of the theatrical The Empire Strikes Back.
I’m deffo up for some rotoscoping. Dm me with the details!
I have a lot of unreleased edits and ideas that I mostly just post parts of in the Prequel radical ideas thread. I have a problem with focusing on one idea and completing it because I think of something radically different to try before I’m done.
I’ve done some acting before but never voice work. I’m not too sure about my own abilities honestly.
JEDIT: Plus I feel like I’m better suited to visual effects rather than film editing. I could never have thought of half the things you put in that short clip!
I’d love to help in any way I can with this!
I feel like Anakin should act/sound just like Luke, with his accent and mannerisms, and transition into a more authoritarian, regal voice by the end of Episode III.
If I had a good mic setup I’d totally dub him in my cut.
JEDIT:
I really love what you did to that scene! There’s an energy there that wasn’t there previously! Impressive as hell!
Keep in mind he did keep X-Wing engines pink in ESB:R because they were in Rogue One, so these edits aren’t in a vacuum. Or at least the cosmetic changes aren’t.
Let’s try this one last time:
Mace Windu’s black because he is a harsher Jedi.

I’ve actually tinkered around with those shots in the past and they look absolutely fine if you just remove the green spill.
I knew somebody who had roughly that same ranking
I feel like the Huttese announcer can say something subtitled as ‘Sebulba wins!’ or something, then show a shot of Anakin. Or something.
Oh my gosh, I’m absolutely honored! After nine whole years, I bring you back!
At first I had Anakin’s theme (from the album) playing, but it felt to grand for the moment and I couldn’t remember any ‘softer’ renditions of it.
Thank you!
A new introduction to Anakin:
I’m very proud of the first shot of Anakin here, especially because it didn’t exist. Also, the cut from Qui-Gon to Anakin implies some sort of connection 😉.
Also: I have no idea what the subtitles should say! I know they should convey that he’s looked down upon and he’s a slave, but I can’t come up with anything!
Note: this isn’t the podrace. Anakin still later on goes and wins a bigger one. This one is meant to show him losing and then later winning (adding a tiny bit of an arc to his character).
Here’s a few ideas I’ve had for Phantom Menace:
Changes:
Complete rescore/color correction+grain
Simplified bet with Watto
Implied Qui-Gon is Anakin’s father.
Added a little bit of personality to Maul’s entrance.
Having Qui-Gon be Anakin’s father really adds so much depth and subtext to this dumb, boring movie. It almost seems like it was intended at some point, with how much Shmi and Qui-Gon look at each other. In this cut, Qui-Gon’s first bet with Watto is clearly motivated by nothing but leaving the planet, but the second time he pleas for his son to be freed. In the original cut, why are these two scenes separated? Why does Anakin need to be in the dark about the race potentially leading to his freedom? In my cut, it makes sense because Qui-Gon realizes that this is actually his son AFTER betting the first time.
I was gonna jokingly reply ‘too many women and minorities’ but I decided against it
wait shit
I made this and it is art
He was there last year iirc. He just likes doing cons I guess.
Knowing J.J., he’s not showing up in the movie.
I’m very interested in Threepio holding a bowcaster.
Something I rendered a while back but never uploaded:
There’s some weird slowdown stuff happening with it, ignore it.
Quick trims and neat scene transitions are everywhere to hurry this damn movie up. There’s a lot of little ideas you might notice. (Yoda doesn’t speak, for instance. When I was editing this I was toying around with removing him from the movie.)
If I were to edit this again, I’d put the Palpatine conference scene after the council scene, before transitioning back to Padme’s apartment.
Heyo
I really really like what’s happening in these edits! Keep it up, Nev!
