Any favorite Star Wars scenes?
Time

My favorite moment from each movie.

Phantom Menace: Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs. Darth Maul. Specifically the part where they’re all divided by the shields and have to stare at each-other.

Attack of the Clones: I have no idea if there is actually any well-made scene in this movie. The only moment that has ever come close to striking any sort of emotion in my was Shmi’s death scene.

Revenge of the Sith: The silent look between Padme and Anakin on Coruscant, just before Anakin dooms the galaxy.

Solo: Becket and Solo’s confrontation.

Rogue One: ???

A New Hope: Ben Kenobi’s sacrifice. That look he gives to Luke just before facing Vader is iconic.

Empire: The whole Carbon Freezing Chamber scene. Han telling Chewie to take care of the princess has a whole new layer of sadness at the moment.

Return of the Jedi: “The force is strong in my family…” or Luke going crazy on Vader.

Force Awakens: Rey grabbing the saber in the forest.

The Last Jedi: Luke vs. Kylo.

I’ve seen people with the idea of Obi-Wan carrying Qui-Gon’s lightsaber throughout Episode II as a sort of way to strengthen its connection to Episode I.

Qui-Gon's saber

What if Qui-Gon’s saber was actually the same saber that Obi-Wan would use for the rest of his life? This would really strengthen the connection between the Prequels and the Original Trilogy. I would also remove nearly every moment that a lightsaber is destroyed in the prequels; this happens way too often and diminishes the cinematic importance of the weapon.

Because of some unforeseen problems, I had to restart the project file that had my Phantom Menace edit. This gave me the perfect excuse to redo the sound design (and color correction) of the Maul fight I posted earlier, as I wasn’t really happy with it.

Here it is again; without music because I think it’s kinda funny.

If it sounds kind of empty, don’t worry. The music fixes that.

Here’s the first Maul fight but more ‘OT’ styled:

I cut pretty much every line Anakin has, I reduced shots that were entirely CG, I omitted some ADR lines, I tried to create a better flow between actors. I think I’m going to create a new thread for my ‘Phantom Menace 70s edition’ or something that would include ideas like my old R2 introduction clip.

Also, I’m thinking about omitting Anakin’s name until Qui-Gon introduces him to Obi-Wan. Thoughts? Delay that ‘dramatic irony’ a little.

This page has the Battlefront 2017 Star Destroyer. There is a separate model that’s just the Rogue One tower somewhere else on the forum that I’m trying to find.

The Original Trilogy Radical Redux Ideas Thread

After watching that weird ‘Scene 38 Reimagined Clip’, I noticed some things about the original sequence that bothered me.

Trying to bring this closer to modern ‘Disney’ visual standards.

Added proper star-field that reacts to focus shift and a stronger glow to the hanger opening.

Added detailing to the previously pitch-black background wall and enhanced ground lighting.

Unusual Sequel Trilogy Radical Redux Ideas Thread

Is it possible to remove the ‘superweapon’ element to Starkiller Base? What if it’s just a snow planet with a First Order base on it? Of course VFX would be needed, but what are the plot ramifications of this?

How could you properly convey that the Republic is out of the picture? Maybe this whole First Order-Resistance conflict is much smaller, galactically, and the complacent Republic still exists out there somewhere? Maybe the First Order is only a problem in the Outer Rim, so they don’t care?

Starkiller being a super-weapon is really my only problem with Force Awakens.

My source was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZasLcoKWlY.

I don’t have the DVD copy of the movie, and I assume that the one on the Star Wars official YouTube channel is the best quality version of it considering it was uploaded more than a decade after the DVDs came out and could take advantage of everything that goes with that. If anyone has a direct, lossless rip from the DVD itself it might help, but I just don’t think anything will help it exactly match the surrounding footage.
