Help Wanted: Original Jabba footage - HELP NEEDED
Time

Thank you guys!

This is just the thread I really searched for.

If I could get all available sources in best possible quality, I would combine them with Laserdisc, DVD and Blu-Ray footage and try to recreate the scene in HD, like Harmy described how he made his despecialised reconstruction of the movie in this Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHfLX_TMduY

//Star Wars Begins\\: HD Version Now on Vimeo
Time

I'm from Germany and have no time to read all old post here, so sorry if I talk about something, that has been already discussed.

I want to make just a Bonus-Disc with Deleted scenes to the original theatrical version of the trilogy. As PAL DVD and/or Blu Ray.

For that reason, I need all sources you (Jambe) used for the reconstruction of the original Jabba scene from 1977 with Declan Mulhollan, to try to make my own version.

I have a good DVD-Transfer of the 1997 German Laserdisc, the official DVD and Blu Ray, the 1997 VHS with the short documentary and the UK VHS "From Star Wars to Jedi".

If I could get your sources, I would try to recreate the scene in HD, like Harmy described how he made his despecialised reconstruction of the movie in this Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHfLX_TMduY

On my google research, I saw you used apple final cut for making your documentaries. But which version? I have Final Cut Po 7.

Do you really mean all of us or did you really intend for us to interpret this absolute statement as... less absolute?

I meant most of the people who did negative comments, not all, sorry.

Why is everyone so negative to me?

Because you spammed a bunch of threads, which made you appear clueless, which made you a target. And some folks can't resist a target, apparently.

I won't to offend anyone and make Jambes work bad, I just wanted to make a project with your help, so you should also be more positive to me.

That's probably true.

You (all of you) are much worse than me in your behavior.

Given that you're new and didn't know not to spam loads of threads with the same message (...are you new to message boards in general?), also true.

Everything you wrote is true. There were some elements in the different threads that has fit to my idea, so I thought I could ask them for help.

I repeating me for the last time: I just wanted to have the sources Jambe had used, to try my own version. If I was not polite enough I'm sorry, it's because language problems.

I'm mostly short-tempered or eagerly or impatient or whatever you call it, that's the only fault of myself, and I'm sorry for that.

So if there is anyone decent who is sorry for me and want to help me seriously, where can I find the sources?

So should I take this mean that this topic is dead then? Finding a way to clean up the deleted scenes are off the table?

It's postponed, unfortunately.

I've too much going on and I no longer have a copy of the deleted scenes to work with.

JEDIT: The good news is that I now have a dedicated computer for our favorite cleaning program. I'd be willing to restore a few deleted scenes for someone once it's setup, but he/she would have to send me the files.

I can rip the official Blu-Ray in every format you want to.

What's that german crap?

I just want to repair/remake Jambe Davdar's version, with better color correction, so that the stencils are unvisible, which would make it look more realistic.. For that I need all sources he used, so that I can put it in the Blu-Ray scene.

You claim to be from Germany, but you can't read German?

Doch! Nur war es schlecht formuliert. Ich hasse diese schlechten Übersetzungsprogramme! Ich benutze sie, wenn dann nur für grobe Übersetzungen und verbessere sie dann was Satzbau und Gramatik betrifft.

Oh, well, I could probably do that too, but you'll be able to tell the difference.

I'll get back to you.

So what do you mean then with diorama?

A part of an editing-software, some kind of project-file?

No, I meant a physical model.  I'm saying I can probably do it over as a digital model, but it won't look as real.

I also have to check with my Dad, because it's his computer.

Ah, ok! But why? I wanted digital video-files. Or did you make the model to be filmed, to recreate the digital Jabba's moves, so we can delete him better?
