Death Note
Time

I've read some of the manga, watched some of the anime, and are now watching the movie. Anyone watch or read this? What do you think? What do you think of Kira? Would you do the same if you were him? I think most people would. Also the movie is getting an American release and dub in September. Also I think film companies are looking into making an American version.

I used to collect the Movie Maniac series from McFarland when they first came out. I think I have the complete series 1,2 and 3. I still have them all sealed actually, I guess I went through a collecting phase when I was 16. Probably sell them in a few years, I don't think they're worth all that much more than I actually payed for them, though the "extra bloody" Jason, Freddy and Leatherface ones I have are sort of rare. I've occassioned the odd figure since then but only when I've really liked it, and I've never kept carded figures since those Movie Maniacs. The 12" HR Giger Alien and Darkness from Legend that I have are pretty cool, and the two Iron Maiden displays are some of my favorites. I have a couple from the Conan line as well. I guess I'm a McFarland guy. Other than my Bender coinbank and my old Transformers and Star Wars figures that I've miraculously hung on to somehow. Actually I have three or four sealed Episode I figures, I have no idea why I bought them or why I still have them--what can I say, we all got sucked into the hype in some form or another.

Are the old Transformers worth anything?

I got the other figure today and got to keep the other one.  I am so happy. I love Evangelion. I got 2 $50 figure for half the price.

I agree with you, but Obama won't fix that.

Also, in your mind, is there a party that is against "rights for everyone"?

I don't know if anyone will at this point, I can guarantee who ever wins the other party will complain and say their doing an awful job. We're always voting between a douche and a turd sandwich.

The rights thing was all about The Patroit Act, Guantanomo Bay, and the Tourture.

Fuck voting, I don't want to be responsible for choosing the next leader. I'm just going to be high that day.

I am kind of a reluctant supporter of Obama but all I want is rights for everyone and legalized drugs. The drug war costs too much money and people are doing hard time in prison for things that should be a small fine at the most if not legal. Both parties piss me off. Why does the goverment care that I smoke pot? I want the goverment out of my life, out of my words, out of my garden, out of my guns, out of marriges, out of my internet, out of my air waves, and out of my stash. I renounce my status as a Democrat and am creating the "Get The Goverments Dick Out Of My Ass Party" Also Iran and Vaginas are a bad place to go too.

I am positive that I love the original works and they do not need to be distorted or ruined to make a fast buck.

Where in the manga is is stated that they are on earth, use guns like in that poster, or that goku is an alien?

Hollywood hucksters better keep their greedy mitts off my favorite anime. Even if they don't they will not get my money.

Speilberg should be kept like a zillion miles away from any g.i.t.s. project. He already ruined the anime transformers and he ruined Indiana Jones.

I would give the director of Akira a chance if the movie was set in neo tokyo and not new new york. This is almost as bad as disney making the yamato the frickin uss arizona.

Sadly the average american filmgoer is retarded and has add so hollywood has TO Make Subtanceless cgi pieces of crap. It is an awful lot like the assembly line producer derived bubblegum pop, pure crap.

I don't always hate cgi miyzaki has been able to use it effectively without making it souless, i would say the same about Pixar as well. The new evangelion film 1.0 you are not alone is an example where cgi is used effetively to augment the story. The japanese are real artists and craftsman when it comes to their work.

I would only like this dragonball movie is Toriyama san directed it, fuck hollywood.

If the evangelion live action ever gets made it hade better be Hideaki Anno and not Matt Greenfield directing. And especially not Peter Jackson.

Anno is a genius. I love Evangelion 1.0, it was amazing. I just bought this toy from the movie

And already bought this one.

They are absoulutely beautiful models and make me want to get the next movies toys.

I would totally more excited about the DBZ movie if I was 14. Also I hate that if they make a Evangelion movie they would fucking americanize everything.

You are assuming that Christianity will ever die out. Even Judaism has not died out and it has been around far longer than Christianity.

I think it depends on how long you expect humanity to last. Civilization is about 7000-8000 years old, modern humans have been around for 200,000 years, who knows where it will go. There really isn't that many Jews in the world most are in Israel and America and I don't think Israel will end well.

This is how the story arc should of went:
"Shortly after the latest comic, Lilah blames Ethan for his carelessness and reckless attitude during the entire pregnancy process and the wedding plans. She cancels the wedding, and tells Ethan that she needs time alone, and plans to return home to her parents after her stay at the hospital is over.

Ethan's day only gets worse when he arrives home to discover a crowd of people and ambulances surrounding the area, trying to aid Lucas, who had fallen off a ladder shortly after Ethan left for work. Lucas is pronounced dead on arrival.

Ethan spends the next three days sobbing uncontrollably. A message from the Gamehaven blares from his answering machine, stating that he's been terminated from work after leaving his post for the fifth time unattended.

Ethan decides he cannot live with the burden of losing his friend and loved one, and decides to end it before he hurts another with his stupidity. He deactivates Zeke and wipes his data, throwing him outside next to the trashcan in the hopes that someone will collect him, and returns inside to hang himself with an Xbox controller cable, the crown of Winter-een-mas laying under his feet.

Elsewhere in the household, Linux guy and his pet penguin sit at their desk with a wicked grin, wearing a headset for each and looking over a little black notebook."
