it was , and the screen at Navy Pier was the largest one I have seen , something like 40 feet tall at the time . the sound system was incredible and when the Naboo cruiser came overhead, the whole theatre rumbled . I sat in the top row and I remember the screen being angled a bit and when the opening crawl came up , It felt like looking down on it from a giant window in space and I actually felt like I was falling during the Coruscant speeder chase . I am glad I had the experience.
I saw the IMAX cut of AOTC at Navy Pier in Chicago back in 2002 . It was a much faster paced and streamlined cut of the movie that edited out a lot of the more cringe worthy scenes. This was my favorite cut of the movie and it was before they could fit an entire film onto the IMAX reels so it had to be cut down for running time . wish I had bought the poster with Yoda standing over a cityscape that said " size matters not, except on an IMAX screen "
always.

I would dig seeing a Doctor Doom /Vader crossover , throw in the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer and I think it would be epic .But that’s just like, my opinion man .
I just watched The Empire Strikes Back from the 95 vhs fullscreen set last night and noticed that in the asteroid chase scene , the T.I.E. Fighter lasers are blue instead of green ! also,on the cover of the VHS box , the word trilogy between Star and Wars looks a lot like the modern logo they use for the sequel trilogy
Pretty neat ZkinandBonez .
May The Fourth Be With You ! In honor of the holiday and in anticipation of the Solo movie , I started doing a re imagining of the first issue of the regular original series that took place directly after Star Wars 77 and featured a Solo Han Solo and Chewbacca story .I am making it in the form of a daily one panel comic strip. have a few days posted already ,here is the link ,once there browse gallery for more…https://screamsinthevoid.deviantart.com/art/Original-Marvel-Star-Wars-issue-7-Panel-recreation-742570843

I went browsing around an antique store today and a young lady who looked to be in her early 20s purchased an old and functioning rotary land line telephone . I thought that was kick ass .
very cool ! I am enjoying this and hope you do more .
thanks dude !
wow ! that is a cool poster , and yeah, I have that issue of Star Wars tales but I don’t recall it being stated in “legends” whether Anakin gave him his personality module or not .I dig that issue though , the art was done by Killian Plunkett who went on to be a designer on The Clone Wars
it wasn’t really that complicated , I just had fun with it . Galaxian was awesome !
The way I reconcile C3-PO in my head is that Anakin assembled 3po more than he built him , I like the old lore that he was built on Affa or some such planet 125 years before the original Star Wars . I imagine he got in some kind of trouble and was disassembled and left in a junk heap on Tatooine and Anakin just found the parts and put him back together . In my mind , he didn’t give 3po his personality and maybe his designation of c-3po was stamped on his torso somewhere.
the 2600 game was endless walkers ,yes , though there were different levels of difficulty and sometimes you had to avoid the heat seeking missle or smart bomb they threw at you . It was my first Star Wars game though , so I am a little biased .
