I am not a big fan of the phrase " raped my childhood " but I think this might actually be appropriate here…

^ It’ll never work , we’ll never make it …Gulliver, we’re doomed…
I personally would say that the droid assembly line sequence in AOTC is the worst sequence ever to appear on screen in a Star Wars film. It’s long, bland, inconsequential, and ultimately completely forgettable. Do you agree? What would you say is the worst? The Ewok movies don’t count, the Clone Wars animated movie or TV shows don’t count, the Holiday Special doesn’t count, and Rebels doesn’t count. We’re only counting the live action films: episodes I-VIII and R1.
The worst moment was Rose preventing Finn from sacrificing himself to save the Resistance so she could kiss him and say the most cliched line ever written: “That’s how we’re gonna win: Not by fighting what we hate but by saving what we love.”
It was a play on the famous line by the English writer G.K. Chesterton in 1911
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”

The droid assembly line scene was no worse than the trash compactor scene in A New Hope. Both signify the “Belly of the Beast” stage in Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey. You have to be joking here. The two are nothing alike. The droid scene is riddled with terrible slapstick and comes across in no way threatening. Completely the opposite to the Trash compactor scene.
but the worse scene for me in ANY Star Wars film HAS to be the balcony scene in ROTS.
^so love has blinded you ?😃
what about Revenge Of The Edgelord ? 😃
Try and be a little more nice?
ok . Sorry.
just watched the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger for the first time in ages and noticed it has a guy named Solo , a death ray laser and a junk compactor !
what about Revenge Of The Edgelord ? 😃
so this douche freely admits he bought Harmy’s edits and then has the balls to post a link to this site…wow…just…wow…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaKodxJud-Q
Yeah , and he did say The Force Is With Us in one of his speeches . I also found it ironic that so many Star Wars alumni worked on the film as it’s central plot revolves around the characters unknowingly being tasked with creating a space laser that is basically like the Death Star superlaser .
Just watched the 1985 movie Real Genius , have seen it dozens of times but never really paid attention to the credits until today and was floored to see all the Star Wars alumni that worked on it …Richard Chew as editor ,who also was an editor on the original Star Wars , Alex Tavoularis is credited as illustrator and he also did Storyboards for Star Wars , Apogee ,which was the effects studio of John Dykstra and Ron Cobb who designed a lot of the cantina aliens ! I guess they could not resist the opportunity to troll Ronald Reagan for his strategic defense initiative which he dubbed Star Wars around the time this movie was made.
It is also worth mentioning that it is well documented in early interviews with Lucas himself ,that he planned to pass that proverbial baton off to other directors as the series progressed and he did hire other writers to flesh out the vague story ideas he had going forward , such as the late Leigh Brackett on the first draft of Empire and hiring Lawrence Kasdan to write the screenplay for that movie , Kasdan also had a big hand in writing The Force Awakens as well as Solo. And Lucas was not really even at the Helm for Empire, which is widely considered the best film in the saga .He was mostly hands off except for a few set visits and a bit of editing. Then of Course ,there are the contributions of Marcia Lucas , Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz to the original 1977 film to consider.
This reflects a lot of my feelings about the saga as a whole and the times we now live in…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThTX8XD9jv8
^ lol ,love it !
while I very much enjoyed the Last Jedi and saw it 3 times in the theater , I like some of what you did here . some of my impressions after seeing this… …I like the altered musical cues you used as well as the transitions showing the passage of time and the flashback to TFA just before Finn wakes from his Coma was a nice touch
according to this source , Al Williamson drew the 12 strips in 1978 and they were first published in The Art Of Al williamson book in 1983 . If you follow the link to the facebook page there is more info. I also seem to remember reading that Al had some commitments to his Secret Agent X9 strip that he was doing with Archie Goodwin that prevented him from doing the original adaptation, as he was George’s first choice, and he did not feel like he could give his all to the project . When x9 ended , he was freed up to come on board for Empire . anyway , here is the link I mentioned…http://www.battlegrip.com/spotted-online-unpublished-star-wars-comic-strips-by-al-williamson/
^fantastic ! I really enjoyed that .
^agreed . looks like they should have video game life meters over their heads too .
^ Ah, come on man ! You are being too logical ! 😃
^ needs life meters above the combatants 😃
this seems like the appropriate place to leave this …https://www.wired.com/story/cantina-talk-84/?fbclid=IwAR1n48i6qvujd1uo5PfHP9akBNWo6EZiB8GdvSQPBdXQqj0EnCXccHBbhxg&mbid=social_fb&utm_brand=wired&utm_campaign=wired&utm_medium=social&utm_social-type=owned&utm_source=facebook be interesting to hear what people think …
^awesome ! Would love to read some of your project .
I would like to see the two youtube clips combined , the tracking shot from the first one you posted with the dive from the second one.
^ lol …that was the part of the documentary where he was describing how Sy Snootle’s lips should move.
^good question , and yeah , that sure looks like a female Tusken . I dig the art on that cover though and I have always wondered if James Cameron borrowed the look of the Terminator from Valance ,especially in T2 . Valance predates the Terminator by many years and Cameron has been known to lift elements from other sources , such as Harlan Ellison and Roger Dean , the artist behind the albums for prog rock band Yes even tried to sue him for the uncanny similarities between his own work and Avatar .
