Well, I don't follow Hockey, but I absolutely love playing it - one of the few sports I was actually quite good at lol.

I think the colours look fine, but then I'm so used to GOUT/2004 SE colours that anything moving away from those looks fine to me. :)

Has some of the colours changed again in the latest trailer? (not counting the comparison one). I thought some things looked different colour wise, although I could be wrong.

I think we can now safely assume Ady's ESB:R is going to be the most ultimate version of ESB we're ever going to get, unless LFL can bring something out the bag last minute about what they've fixed/improved for the blu-rays, which I seriously doubt.

Gonna test your mix on my receiver tonight hairy_hen. Recently been buying new bits for my home theater set-up; new speakers, receiver etc. Can't wait to demo your mix on it - I only heard it on an ageing 5.1 system before and it was pretty good on that old thing.

Yes, some of the 1997 SE audio is pretty good, it's just a shame all the changes to the films and audio mean it's difficult to sync with the originals. The Flunk version of ANH had good sound, the DTS track I mean.

I think what you have audio wise so far, is pretty damn good anyway though.

Criterion version of Robocop is still my favourite version. Blu-ray and other DVD releases sucked in comparison.

+1 for Criterion to handle the originals, from me. But, I do think this is very wishful thinking - it would be mega if they did though!

Really hope once the reveal is completed we have a new trailer to see, so we can at least get an idea of what the transfers will look like.

I must admit, I've been waiting for a long time for this too and not just dark_jedi's release, but any release of the broadcast versions, for a good number of years.

I'm with you captainsolo, it's been so long that a little more waiting won't hurt and certainly I'm sure dark_jedi's final touches to them will be more than worth the wait.

As of right now, I have no preferred version. I think we're kinda spoilt with so many GREAT versions being available now. I'm gonna hold out for the blu-rays in september and Ady's ESB Revisited before I compile my new list of favourites. 8)

Old samples even look good dark_jedi for blu-rays. Can't even imagine what the newer ones now look like.

Will there be any old 1997 SE broadcast version stuff hitting myspleen? Wasn't it from there to begin with?

I saw your old ESB AVCHD release a while ago, and just wanted to say that it actually was a pretty solid upscale. So if that was anything to go by, these next versions should be brilliant and look forward to them.

I'm no tell-tale and I certainly don't have a problem with you in the way you keep implying and certainly don't hold the same grudge that you seem to have over me. I never once hated you, EVER. I have a ton of respect for you in the work you have done for the community. I just find your comments rude sometimes and I and others are fed up of dodging your comments which are provoking arguments.

The reason I asked for Moth3r's opinion (if he has been reading) is because I don't understand how you can get away with your comments and hostility in the other threads outside of 'Off Topic'. Maybe he knows you better, I don't know. I have watched your posting style change a lot as of late, and it puzzles me - it's like it has become more and more hostile. I'm not the only one to notice. And no I didn't PM Moth3r.

I would actually prefer to call a truce, as I never meant to come across like I'm on a warpath with you dark_jedi, but being honest I have found some of your comments offensive - that needs to be said.

I have followed this forum for a long time before I registered and I followed your older GOUT projects and you weren't always this way. Maybe it's been so long, but it seems now more than ever you are careless in the way you express your opinion - to the point of almost wanting to be argumentative for the sake of it.

d_j, not to be direspectful (I like your work and appreciate the projects you are doing), but honestly dude why do you keep popping into threads stirring things up? In the V8 thread you are questioning why people like V8 over GOUT and then reasoning that with "I really think most people that are saying that the JSC set LD captures look great are not viewing them on a large screen HDTV." Which I must say, why does it even matter? In one of Harmy's threads you thought Harmy was implying that PAL was superior to NTSC when he didn't. These are just some of the examples.

We know you have an opinion on things - everyone does. It's the way you go about it that is really rubbing people the wrong way. I know you mean well, but I just don't understand it and neither do other people (not everybody) but it's becoming more frequent as of late.

We had this discussion before in the preservation section, and I'm not getting on my high horse, I just want people to get along - as we ALL do bring something to the table as a community, even if it is just suggestions and ideas to the topic. Some do more than others yes, and your work has been noted. Let's not turn this all into a "I've done more for this community than you" argument, to warrant an opinion.

I think it's not a matter of denying people the 25gb high quality release because others can't dl or burn it, it's the fact that there should be a choice for people on both sides of the fence. If it's relatively easy to transform a 25gb high quality video into an AVCHD so others can have it play on certain players, then that's a fair option without Ady having to do extra work. But, to say (not pointing fingers - just speaking generally) that it's going to be only in one particular format end of, then quite a few people are going to lose out, that's all some of us are saying.

Since it should be easy from the sound of it, for people to transform the 25gb file to AVCHD themselves, it won't be so bad for those who don't have burners.

The other alternative is, for people who can't dl 25gb files at all to do the AVCHD themselves, is someone that can, does it, and uploads the AVCHD to somewhere where these people can dl the smaller file. That way Ady doesn't have to upload so many files and convert it himself. We are a community afterall, I'm sure people could help out on the release.

I never knew it had more elements of the 97SE in there for the Jabba clip. Very well done I must say!

I have a blu-ray burner and I have Usenet, what the hell has that got to do with me or anyone agreeing that it would be fair to give others the AVCHD? You come running to the rescue to bad mouth anyone that has an innocent query with something all the time.

And NO, doing an AVCHD version does not mean other people should be denied the best quality versions - how would that make sense?!. It's upto Ady, but you really do jump to conclusions big time.
