WOw, that would suck if there weren't.

I don't think there are. I hope they are all vegetarians. I wouldn't want to kill a Pikachu with a hammer to eat it's meat.

Ash: "Boy, am I hungry... Hey, Pikachu, look over there!"

Pikachu: "Pika pika?" *bang*

* 2 hours later *

Brock: "Hey Ash, this meat is delicious? Where did you find it?"
Ash: "It's Pikachu. I killed it with a hammer and ripped off it's flesh, and cooked it with some fava beans and wine... Sneef sneef sneef!"

Yeah. I'd like to see a kid finish Ocarina of Time in ten hours, or beat mission 14 of Advance Wars DS. (I'm sure there's a kid out there somewhere who can, but he or she is verily above average.)

I have this theory: there are two kind of good games around. One of them is the good game based on realism, on doing things you wouldn't be able to do in real life. Sport games fall into this category, so does GTA, racing games, and stuff like that. It's a game being good for simulating the realism of something "cool". It's based on graphics and realistic engines, and consoles like Playstation and XBOX are based on these kind of games.

The other kind of games is what Nintendo mainly does. It's games based on fun itself, not on realism or neat graphics. It's harder to accomplish a good game with that style... Games like Mario Party, they are not realistic at all and are not based on simulating something, but are fun nonetheless... Atari games, remember those? Those were not realistic, but were fun, it was fun by fun itself... Hard to explain...

Kids nowadays are drifting between these two kinds of games. In Japan, the second kind is more popular, in America, the first one. Over here, it's pretty devided, although I belive now that Nintendo is investing strongly in our country, this is about to change into a more japanese-esque view - lots of games in Japan are popular here and not in America, such as Super Jumpstars and Dance Dance Revolution kind of games.

On a unrelated note, I was at a videogame tournament sponsored by Nintendo in a big hotel in my home town, I was there to play with anyone with a DS (got to play Jumpstars!) and see the tournament - I was probably one of the oldest ones there... And there was this tournament for kids aged 4 to 7 in Super Smash Brothers Melee, and I thought "oh must be a crappy tournament, so young...", and it was freaking AWESOME! The kid who won, he was no older than 6 or 7, and he played like a freaking pro! I'm starting to get scared of kids today...

This analog stick did show up during the original demonstration, remember? And with the controller shell being confirmed, I have a new found faith in Nintendo... With that, Revolution might be the #1 new generation console.

I have a question. In the Pokemon world, there are no animals, right? All they have is Pokemons. And Pokemons are clearly self-conscious and inteligent creatures, able to comunicate (in their own way, although some can speak as humans). Right? OK. Now, the people in that world, they are either ALL vegetarians... or they do slaughter some Pikachus or Jigglypufs or Bulbasaurs every now and then and eat those! And that's so cruel, because those are conscious beings, like regular people!

Nintendogs is not a battle game at all, it's a game in which you have a "virtual puppy", and you have to take care of him, feed him, go out with him, and teach him some tricks, so you can enter him into dog show competitions. You can meet other dogs from other players using the wireless system, but they don't battle or anything. It's a "dog simulator".

I'll stick to portuguese, but I'll use other words, that sound nothing alike. Senta for sit, Chão (ground) for lay down, Rola (roll over) for uh.. roll over, Pata (pawn) for the pawn, and so on...

When Nintencats comes out, I'll have some problems naming my cat Schrödinger, as I'd like to...

BTW - and again, no offence to anyone here - but the very people that are disgruntled by the re-packaging (presumably) of the OT will lick it up off the ground. The temptation will be too great for you not to buy it. Face it - Star Wars is like the Death Star and will suck(er) anything nearby into it.

Uh... you meant a BLACK HOLE, right?

OT Released AGAIN!!! (DVDAnswers.com article on possible new box set...)

GL arrives at the Conference INterview for the new box:

GL: "Good evening everyone, thank you for being here. I'm George Lucas, the ingenious creator of both the Star Wars Trilogies, composed of The Phantom Menace in 1999, Atack of the Clones in 2002, Revenge of the Sith in 2005, and A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, all from 2004."

* no sound. a man coughs in the background. the "applause" lights are blinking for 10 seconds *

GL: "Well, uh... okay... let's, uh... Do the thing, uh... here is the box and, uh... inside there are three DVDs. Are there any questions?"

* Everyone raises hands *

GL: "OK, before I move on to questions, lemme say that I have improved my original 2004 vision, as I'm beggining to see things more clear now. So this DVD will have some changes, I just cant't remember what those are right now."

* All hands go down except for one *

GL: "Uh, yes, you there."

Man: "Mr Lucas, when did you sell your soul to the Devil, and why did you do it?"

GL: "OK, I didn't understand a word of what you said, but my lawyers asked me to thank you and to give you this Jar jar talking toy!"

* Pulls string *

JarJar:"Meesa so horny! Meessa love you long time!"

A Random voice in the croud: "F### you George Lucas!"

GL: "Uh.. well, uh, good luck to you as well... So, any other questions?"

Man 2: "Yes, here. Mr Lucas, what do you think Sebastian Shawn would say about the 'improvements' you did on Return of the Jedi, and do you have any fear that a Mecha-Zombie version of him will come back to life and chop your head off?"

GL: "Ah, yes, I think you were refering to the actor who voice Yoda, and mixed up the name with an unknown actor, right? Frank Oz did the voice for Yoda. Frank Oz... Any other questions?"

* Five hands are raised, but a man in black makes signs for him saying "no" *

GL: "No, no questions at all? Good. That's how I like my audience to be, not questioning. Okay, I gotta run, gotta catch my private jet and play some golf with Spielberg and Brian dePalma in Hawaii. Bye bye, hope you enjoy this box of..." *grabs box, looks at it * "Star Wars! Yes, Star Wars, hope you like it. And remember: Buy! Buy more! Buy more now! Buy! And be happy!"

GOOD call young padawan! I'll erase the whole thing and start over.

I do like Cowboy Bebop. My first avatar was Ed from Cowboy Bebop.
