Plot holes in the SW saga
Time
Two theories:

1- In the star wars universe, there was no Earth, and never there will be. Humans are just an alien race that looks like us, and for some reason, they are a dominating alien race. This is probably the answer.

2- Maybe they have some conection with us... maybe time is cyclical, and we are them in the future/past. Or maybe they will become us...

I assume you are joking, but if not: they speak in basic, and the movie "translates" basic to english. About the humans thing, I've always wondered about that too, but maybe... one day, a ship full of humans crashed on a distant and unknown planet called Earth...

I know Jango is great assassin but he is still not a Jedi.

Jango has been through a lot of s**t, I mean, who knows what fights/adventures he has gone through? A professional bounty hunter, in a star wars universe, that is NOT an easy job. Besides, he got lucky.

God forbids, I'd never wish for the death of another human being, and I like GL, but... what if he died? I mean, WHEN he died.

Lucas to give the Oscars back to the Academy

Well, the thing is, for non-portuguese speaking movies, on a movie theater, it's almost always subtitled, except when it's a kids movie. The funny thing is, both the Special Edition and The Phantom Menace where released with dubbed versions as well (on few selected theaters), I think it's very obvious why.

On cable, it's about 75% subtitled, on a open network TV station it's almost always dubbed, but you can sometimes swich to the alternate audio channel (SAP) and listen to it on english (thats what I do).

I remember that when The Phantom Menace was released over here, both the "long time ago" and the "episode I" titles where written on portuguese (I belive that was done by Lucasfilm on every foreign release), and I remember people booing this, because they did not want it to be changed, they wanted the original titles in english. On AOTC this was corrected, and it was displayed in english.

This language thing is kinda funny when it comes to star wars characters name. For episode I, there was a character named Panaka, which sounds like "panaca", which is a brazillian slang for "idiot", "jerk". For episode 2, on theatrical release, Dooku and Sifo-Dias were changed to Dookan and Zaifo-Vias because the original names were kinda similar to cuss words in portuguese (when it was release on TV, about 1 or 2 weeks ago, the names were changed back)

And about the "cheap" movies: they show about 20 minutes of ads before the previews (they pay the movie theater for showing the ads, not the distributor), and popcorns and sodas are pretty expensive, so they have their profit there.

Star Wars DVDs selling fast
Time
I have to add my two cents here. Those minor corrections happen all the time. A visible camera reflection was digitally removed in the Eyes Wide Shut DVD. There's the Indy DVD's, where those minor problems were removed. You see, when it's a correction, like visible camera, visible prop, it's ok. If the SE only corrected the sound, restored the image quality, corrected the light sabers cuts and any other problems like that, I'd love the SE's. But what they did is to change the movie adding scenes and CGI. So I'm ok with the Indy DVD's, and I still consider them "originals".

In order to be a monster:

* Must be born a monster (godzilla) or be created as one (frankenstein monster)
* Must be evil, or do evil related things (thats why Chewbacca is not a monster, and frankenstein did some bad things)
* Must not be able to speak clearly, or at all
* If you have been human for one day in your life, you are not a monster, but a freak (Tetsuo, The Fly, Barbra Streissand)

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!?

have you even read/seen Akira? Tetsuo is a huge monster at the end... and i DO mean huge!

I've seen it about 10 times. Yeah, I know, but he starts as a human, and then get his powers. A real mosnter must be born a monster, or created as one. If you have been human once, you disqualify for being a monster. You could be a freak, though (Elephant Man comes to mind).

In 1980 when Empire cam out, you could by a folding poster thing. On the back was a load of info an shit!!
One had a piece about the Empire, and it stated there that the Stormtroopers were clones...

Also, Jimbo is correct in saying, if Goerge Lucas says they are Clones, then they are Clones.
They may not have been once, but they are now!

They are now, I totally agree. I was just saying that he changed his mind.

And if this folding poster thing is official, and states clearly that they are all clones, and it came from GL or Lucasfilm itself, then I'll have to agree with you and Jimbo, and give GL a little bit more credit. But still, it conflits with the EU material, which clearly stated the opposite, and the official EU material is always aproved by GL, so... unless he didn't bother to read it:

"Mr. Lucas we have some new expanded universe material for you to approve."
"What? They still write those things? Ok, ok, tell me what are those about."
"The first one is a work of fiction called Tommy Skywalker, in which the band The Who meets Luke and decides to do an album about him."
"Approved. Next."
"We have 'Star Wars: ER', the story of a emergency hospital in Tatooine, during the events of A New Hope."
"Approved."
"And we have here... 'Star Wars Forbidden Love', in which Luke and Leia decide to ignore the fact they are twins, and decide to make noisy love inside an A-Wing, during the clone wars, which I belive is not even possible. It was written by a 13 year old boy, and it's 3 pages long."
"Whatever, approved, approved!"

I'm sure you didn't forget the disco dancing part, eh?

Uh seems to me you linked the image file to your computer. Look at the source code, it's linked to the "My Documents" folder. You need to upload the image into your geocities account, and then link it like this: <img src="ot.gif" border="0"> - or else it will not appear to anyone who is not using your computer.

Ok, so bring me a GL quote (before the SE please) in which he states that the stormtroopers are clones. Besides all the EU material has stated clearly that they are not clones at all. Can't you see he wanted to change it all when he began working on the prequels? This is George "Plot Holes" Lucas we are talking about.

GL is working on the prequels scripts, when he suddenly just raise his arms and says: "I just don't know!"

Like The Last Temptation of Christ, the only Jesus movie with a smart plot twist.

I am not going to see the passion. I know the story, and how it ends. I've read the book.

She'll get her free trip to the Endor moon, and the Ewoks will capture her and eat her corpse (she didn't have C3PO and the Force to foll the Ewoks).
