It really dosen't, as they are in space. The shortest path to another place in space would be a straight line...

I remember reading something about George Lucas claiming this was done on porpouse, as he wanted to show how Han Solo didn't know what he was talking about. I belive the whole "in less than 12 parsecs" thing is a mistake GL made while writting the screenplay, I belive even him did not know exactly what a parsec was at that moment.

And jeez, peace did remove most of the dictators in south america during the 70s and 80s, it worked in Poland (that famous strike who created the oposition partie), it worked in India ("Why not use Ghandi's ways, he didn't have any weapons and he beat the british empire" - "I'm... not familiar with that.")... But it DIDN'T work in Korea, in Vietnan, it's NOT working in Iraq.

I mean, the US of A murders people all the time, every freaking country murders people all the time, the british empire slaughtered people in India, South Africa and China, France did it in their african colonies, Portugal slaugtered millions during its colonial time in Brazil, no one mentions what Stalin did for some reason, and yet, it alls seems so... justified. Why? Because we live in this side? Because the media tells us everyday our "powers that be" are fighting for good? If our money says "In GOD we trust", why do we break HIS trust in us by killing, if He has said "whou shalt not kill"? What makes us different than them, as murder IS murder by the eyes of God?

And Jimbo don't YOU dare to mention the towers. You had no CLUE of why those 3000 people died, you still don't understand it, and you use the souls of 3000 people to justify even more inocent people getting murdered. I'll talk to any conservative here but you, as you are not yet mature to discuss it. You have seen it only on TV and on the Internet, and you have a childish, distorted point of view, WHICH is not your fault, as you are surrounded by a corrupt one-sided media who blinds you from the truth. You'll forever refuse to accept it, but you've been brainwashed. I'll talk to conservatives who have read books, who knows about middle eastern politics and history, who dosen't spit out what o'reilly and limbaugh tells them to spit out, to those I'll be more than glad to talk to.

But really not as funny as their previous ones, "And now for something completly different", "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", and "Life of Brian". There was no good jokes in that movie at all, and it didn't feel like a MP movie. The silliness wasn't there.

There. Without knowing, Jimbo gave us the answer. Arrogance. The feeling that the whole world is made of inferior minds who need to be controled with violence to worship them. Basically, these people took it too serious, and decided to do an "eye for an eye" revenge kind of thing. Of course they are NOT right, I do NOT support either sides, but they are messing with a country who shares the same belives. Not religious belives, but the belive that violence is the way. Again, I quote Ghandi: "An eye for an eye is going to make the whole world blind."

Altough the official title was not expected to be released until august or even later, new rumors are pointing to "Birth od the Empire" as the "favorite" title at the moment. All the promotional material is bearing this title as the working title this week, so it might be possible that Lucasfilm might be preparing the announcement (whataver title it is) to be delivered very soon... Why is that NO conservative can answer that? Is it because the answer is something they cannot tolerate? Come on, anyone, answer me, what is their motivation! I do NOT accept these answers:

"Oh, they are all evil doers, and evil doers do evil things."
"Who gives a shit, all I know is, kill everyone in the middle east."
"They are psychotic killers, who do it just for the fun of it."

So, conservatives... are you in a "war" against someone whose purpouses you dont even understand? So WHY are you in war agsint them? How do you know WHO to kill? They don't have a suastica in their arms, as they did in WW2...

Shimraa, you mean, they would be communists? I doubt it. The thing is, if Japan had surrendered by its own, there would be a whole lot of sanctions imposed on Japan, even more than it was. Did you know Japan was not allowed to have an army fighting outside it's country until Iraq, because of the WW2 sanctions? Well, they would impose a tigher control on Japan's economy so it wouldn't develop, but it's economy would explode in the 80s-90s. It would be like South Korea today.
