That's funny AND sad at the same time. Like when a clown dies of a heart atack while performing at a circus.

Well, starkiller, so perhaps I was wrong, but I belived Moore only knew about it when it was shown by the media. I thought Runsfeld knew about it for a long time, but if you say so... But the truth is, a lot of people inside the coalition forces knew about it since the begining, and it was their jobs to make it stop and to tell the people, not Moore's. Even better: there should be no tortures in first place.

Last line of episode 3?
Time
Last night I dreamed that I was watching episode 3. Man, maybe I should take some time and cut anything SW related for a while, I'm strating to lose my mind. About the dream: I don't remember much of it, only that somehow I've missed the SW logo and the initial opening scroll because I was looking back at the time it was shown, and ended up hating the movie, being very disapointed with it. Don't remember the movie so well, only a few "scenes", but it was very Felini-esque, with people I know in the film. That's it, I'm finally completly insane.

Strange choices i know...

I kinda like supertramp as well, being a fan of prog-rock.

Actually, it was a last minute adition to the film. I remember reading about it on his website back then.
That doesn't exactly explain why he didn't release the footage to the media and blow the lid off the atrocities. If Moore hates this war so much, why wouldn't he reveal this info as soon as he got it??

The information about the tortures were already available for the public when he dicded to mention on the film - the final editing was almost done by them. I havent seen it, but its aparently pretty updated for a documentary, which usually has few months of gap.

And Donald Runsfeld KNEW about it months before. Why didn't HE talk about it to the public?

If he wanted to expose the truth, why not release the 20 minute interview he had with Nicholas Berg?

Out of "respect" to the "deceased" Nick Berg. Altough I belive it would be great to include all those fishy circunstances envolving Berg and his beheading video.

Since I have a little bit of free time at this moment, I've decided to create this thread so we can talk about our favorite bands/singers/albums/songs, and discuss music in general. I belive that was missing from this forum: a music thread.

In order to begin, I'll list some of my favorite bands, in no order whatsoever, so we can start from there:

* Mutantes (60s-70s psychedelic prog-rock brazillian band - I enjoy anything after 1973)
* Los Hermanos (indie-rock brazillian band - "los hermanos" is spanish for "the brothers", but we speak portuguese)
* Pink Floyd (from 1967 to 1977)
* Yes (from 1970 to 1975)
* Emerson, Lake & Palmer
* Air
* Neutral Milk Hotel (only the "airplane over the sea" album)
* The Doors
* Radiohead (1997+)
* Kid 606
* Sigur Ros
* Equilibrio Vital (prog-rock from Venezuela)
* Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso (prog-rock from Italy)
* Portishead
* Beatles (only "sgt pepers" and "magical mistery tour")
* Beach Boys
* Fatboy Slim
* Queen (from 1974 to 1979)
* The Who (only "Tommy" and "Who's Next")
* Jimmi Hendrix (only live stuff)
* Janis Joplin
* ABBA (oh cmon who dosent)

I might have forgoten something...

I belive Michael Moore is one of the most politically active people out there, and he's doing his best to expose the whole truth to all of us, even if some people dosen't want to hear the truth. I've first heard of him when he released "Downsize This" and his documentary "The Big One", which I thought was truly brilliant. However I belive his last film, "Bowling for Columbine", would be better in a book form. I'm all in favor for gun control, damn I belive the factories that produces guns should be exterminated, and I belive Mr. Moore was right in every aspect of his film, but as a film itself, I belive it was not that great. It was slow at some parts, the editing was sort of confusing (check out the first scene in k-mart, they begin it on the car, what was that all about?), and he didn't make his point so clear as he would make in a book. But I'm pretty sure Fahrenheit 9/11 will be great - even if it's slow and bad edited. As Radiohead said: "All hail to the thief, all hail to the thief, but I'm not, but I'm not."

Oh, and, by the way, just for the fun of it, this is Bill "Shut up cut off his mic" O'Reilly's review of the movie:

It started 40 minutes late so I had to leave after an hour, I didn't see the whole thing, but I saw most of. The film is pretty much what you would expect, President Bush and his administration are a satanic cult and we live in a police state. The movie was a little slow for me, fairly predictable.

Galahad_Skywalker - I should have been more specific, sorry. I should have said "I hate the ultra-conservative war-loving right". I should also mention some of my local political hate, but I thought you guys wouldn't understand any brazillian references I'd make, and I decided not to.

starkiller - I did not know that, as I've only read a brief text on yahoo.com about it. Can't belive they actually considered doing it. I'm agnostic, and I wouldn't mind saying any God-related pledge, or athem or anything.
