Do you believe in ghosts?
Time
Uh no Bossk, I can't see the video right now because I'm working at a server with no video players and no sound.

Well, the thing is, I kinda belive in some of those things, yes, as I've seen two things who made me belive it. One of them I cannot share with you because I've promised a friend I'd never, ever tell anyone about it, but belive me, after I've heard that one, I started to belive there IS some sort of ghost or spirit thing going on.

The second one happened when I was about 11 or 12, I had this 486 computer with a creative labs soundcard (neat stuff back then in 1993, 1994), and it had those awful white soundspeakers, well, sometimes I used to listen to laughs and weird voices speaking in giberish. I'd get so scared I'd start to cry and turn off my computer right away, and lock the soundspeakers on the closet, or sometimes just hidden then behind the computer - it was like Haley Jley Osment (or whatever it's spelled) on Sixth Sense. It happened to me about 5 times, sometimes it was a spooky laugh, sometimes someone speaking stuff I couldn't understand, always a male voice. BUT I've always suspected I was getting some sort of a radio frequency or something of the sort: it never happened if the speakers were turned off, and it sounded kinda radio-like, sounded like the pilots on the Yavin battle, but I little bit more clearer. Wait a minute... laughs, giberish talk... I was getting a transmition of ROTJ, that was Jabba!

Yes, that's what the priest told me when I had my first confession. Woo was I a naughty boy back then, eh... And then the priest asked me to have sex with him, but I politely declined.

Where there's something wrong... in the neighborhood... who you're gonna call? No one. There are no ghosts.

I can't see this video right now, but there are a few possibilities on what it could be:

1- When the film is developed, sometimes the reflexion of another film gets printed, I've seen this happening to photographs.

2- Sometimes a defective camera can reflect something that's not onscreen or leak light into the film (you can see this in "Godfather" and "Last Temptation of Christ", the later actually used the film problems as the ending of the film)

3- Some prop or crew on the background? (such an example of this could tbe the films "Wizard of Oz", and "Three men and a baby" which actually had a whole legend of the ghost of a boy who haunted the set, and it was only a cardboard prop seen later in the movie)

Anime talk
Time
I've decided to create an anime thread, since it seems to be none here. I'm sure lots of Star Wars fans are also anime fans, such as myself.

I've watched the WHOLE "Neon Genesis Evangelion Director's Cut DVDs" right now - which is making my eyes hurt badly, giving me terrible headaches, and contributed to my always increasing dementia, and I have mixed up feelings about it. It was released before the Star Wars DVDs, yet it has great similarities. I love both, I consider both to be modern art masterpieces, and the original version of both are now lost thanks to pointless special editions versions

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Neon Genesis Evangelion, here's IMDBs plot summary, which makes it look sillier than it is, it is actually VERY complex: "When the Angels start attacking the planet Earth in the year 2015, only a handful of 14-year-old EVA pilots are able to stop them. The weak-minded Shinji Ikari suddenly finds himself forced to pilot EVA-01, a giant organic mecha, designed and constructed by NERV, that is the only thing that can stop the Angels."

The thing is, when GAINAX released those DVDs, they have changed the series in the same way Lucasfilm has changed the O-OT. Episodes 21 to 24 have re-done animation (The SW SE's changes come to mind), extra scenes (Jabba's scene in ANH comes to mind), and some altered scenes to "fit" with the REAL ending of the series, "End of Evangelion" (Anakin at the end of ROTJ comes to mind). Episodes 25 and 26 were the original ending for the TV series, but they now have been "replaced" with a movie released in 1998 called "End of Evangelion", which was based on the original plans for episodes 25 and 26. (At the end of episode 24 we see a "preview" of what would be the episode 25, Air, but the animation for the episode was only partially done back then, before they eventually scrapped the idea thanks to budget limitations, so it looks very rough, almost scary to watch).

To Evangelion fans only, might contain spoilers:

OK, so, Longinus spear is NOT on the moon anymore (wtf?), Adams legs grow up when the spear is removed by Rei so it would fit End of Evangelion, Asuka tried to had sex with Kaji (in a sickening new scene), and Kaworu had some connection's with Seele. OK, I admint, there are some good things, such as some improved animation, specially on episode 24, but... Has Evangelion become what Star Wars is now? Have we lost it forever? Are there going to be more changes for the 10th aniversary, next year? One thing's for sure: I'm not getting rid of my old copies of the original broadcast of Evangelion, with video tracking problems and all.

This is quite a common ocorrence in hospitals around the world, people who "accidently" insert on their anus objects like bottles, pens, flashlights, clocks (Pulp Fiction comes to mind), cell phones, even guns.

A response to the "They're His Movies" arguement
Time
Three billion? There is NO way half of the world's population are Star Wars fans. 20% of the world's population hasn't even made a phone call...

I would say there are 70% of people on developed countries who have watched it, about 40% of people on in-development countries, and about 15% of people in very poor, under-developed countries. Most people who watched it are not fans, so I'd say 25% of those people are fans. Now, there are fewer developed countries than under-developed ones, so... I'd say no more than 5 to 10% are SW fans. No more than 600 million.
