SW BW or color?

Complete inability to distinguish any colors is called monochromacy. It occurs in two forms: cone monochromacy, where only a single cone system appears to be functioning, so that no colors can be distinguished, but vision is otherwise more or less normal; and achromatopsia, or maskun, or rod monochromacy where the retina contains no cone cells, so that in addition to the absence of color discrimination, vision in lights of normal intensity is difficult.

While normally rare, complete color blindness (maskun) is very common in Pohnpei: about 1/12 of the population there has maskun.

It's really rare, only a small fraction of colorblind people have this condition. I remember reading about it some time ago.

I admit I never paid much attention to pokemon, but I've never seen an animal besides pokemons. Maybe what they call a "mouse" is some sort of a specie of pokemon, the "mouse" kind, and not a mouse itself. And "electric", well they have eletricity there... The funniest thing about eating pokemons is that they are supposed to be smart/self-conscious, right? So it must be real tough to slaughter them in order to make a BBQ...

DanielB: nice answer... but the dots are supposed to have no size at all.

Actually the Wright brothers invented a flying machine whose mechanics are not used in modern day airplanes, it had no engine and the aerodynamics are based on a diferent principle. Brazillian Santos Dumont invented the first engine powered airplane that could take off by itself. He documented his first flight on silent film a few months after the wright brother's first flight - which was not filmed or photographed, and had no witnesses.

Santos Dumont also invented the wrist watch.
