Huge release day mess up over here in Brazil re ROTS
Time

Something I’m really hating now: this huge mess going on about Episode Three’s release date over here.

The thing is, the local distributor (local 20th century Fox) didn’t want to officially release a movie on a thursday, so they moved the released day to May 20th, a friday - therefore the midnight session would be midnight from May 19th to May 20th. BUT… all the promotional material released (including this huuge vader/yoda billboard near where I work) claims the release date IS May 19th, along with the rest of the world. Now, I’ve talked to two multiplex managers, and both had no idea what the date would be, although they confirmed the midnight session. The local distributor is now claiming BOTH dates, each date on each statement! Some newspapers say May 20th, others say May 19th… Because of this confusion, they are not selling tickets until May 9th, a date they belive they’ll have this whole mess sorted out… But I need the answer now, because some friends cannot go if it’s on a wednesday-to-thursday night…

Me I don’t care, I got all planed out, I won’t sleep after the movie, I’ll drive some people home, get to my own place, take a shower, get dressed and drive straight to work… and drink as much coffee as possible.

Let's see if we have any examples of that... Son of The Mask, 11 years... Terminator 3, 12 years... Godfather 3, 17 years... Even though I did enjoy Godfather 3, it's not bas as people say it is.

But now that I think about it, I don't want to see another IJ movie. there's only one Indy, Harrisson Ford, and he is in NO condition to be Indy again. He might play an older Indy, but who wants to see that? He is older now than Sean Connery was in TLC!

Cartoons!

Well why do you think they call it "Drag On Ball"? They have to fill 80 episodes with a saga than can be easily be told in 10 episodes. There are only two anime who can drag the story more than DB could: Shurato and Street Fighter - there was an episode of the Street Fighter anime series that consisted of Vega laughing and showing up his powers to Chun Li. That's it. That's the episode.

The only thing that's worth watching from Dragon Ball is the Bardock special, maybe the Future Trunks TV special, maaaaybe this last DBGT TV special. The rest is pretty much crap.
