Kashyyyk question - spoilers
Time
Solo: "Well, hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side..."

Chewie: "Grrrrlll!"

Solo: "What? What are you saying, Chewie?"

Chewie: "Grrr... Grrrll grrrww!"

Solo: "Really? Jedi knights? The force?!"

Chewie: "Grrrlll... grrrlll grrrrrr..."

Solo: "Order 66? Yoda?! Really?"

Luke: "Hey, how come you know he said things like 'yoda' and 'order 66' only by listening to that grrlll sound he did?"

Solo: "If you get to be close to a wookie for as long as I did, you'll be able to understand them too..."

Obi-Wan: "Oh damn it, the wookie knows too much, he'll tell everything... C'mon, everyone, look at this pen..." (puts his sunglasses)

ZAP! A bright light, and everyone gets confused

Obi-Wan (remoces his sunglasses): "So... how far to Alderaan?"

Things I hate: PAIN

This statment sounds like it stems from something recent.

My neck hurts badly, I almost couldn't move last night, it got better this morning but it hurts now... Was doing some abs saturday morning, I think I messed up something on my neck, but it only started to hurt at that night... I hate pain, I hate getting hurt, and I'm constantly getting hurt, and I'm constantly rolling on the floor with pain, holding my foot or my leg or whatever and screaming "pain! horrible pain!"

Anyone else want to see... an animated series set between ROTS and ANH?

That's a good idea for an animated feature, since Mark Hamill himself could voice Luke, being such a talented voice actor... But the Live Action series should focus on the time period between episodes 3 and 4.

Does anyone know what will the TV series be about? Any news?

Should Lucas replace Guiness with an aged McGregor?

I can't belive you are actually discussing re-filming the OT!

A friend of mine, which is also a SW fan, also said GL should re-shoot the whole thing when he did the 1997 version. I was shocked back then, but he said that the technology showed in the movies is the "1970s futuristic vision", like in "2001" where we have Panam and Bell and a gigantic computer and low-res TV with 1960s music... He said the whole thing should be re-done because there was no way that crummy looking technology would exist in the SW universe. His favorite example was the "aiming computer" on the Yavin battle, with the crappy looking numbers and visuals, and the "TIE aiming system", with that little silly animated TIE going into the aim. He said that AT LEAST the panels should be re-done to look more technological and less hand-animated. I said he was a loony and the whole issue was dropped.

The Imperial Symbol

But on the Chancellor's Podium in the senate building, it still bears the symbol of the Old Republic. I was just wondering basically what the symbol meant before it became the Imperial Symbol? Can anybody shed some light on that?

I also noticed it. Makes sense to me that they use the imperial symbol, when Palpatine became emperor he simply took that symbol to represent the galactic empire. The old republic symbol: well, he didn't have the time to re-paint every senate booth, did he?

What did you think the Clone Wars were gonna be?
Time
I thought that it was a clever "McGuffin" (a plot deviced that merely serves it's porpouse, Hitchcock named as "McGuffin") that GL had created in order to make Obi-Wan look like he was once a great warrior and jedi knight. Never really thought about it, and before the prequels I didn't even notice Leia also mentions the "clone wars". I thought it was something GL had merely created for plot reasons, with no real meaning - and if we think about it, it REALLY was like that back when SW was being made!
