Now that's just a kick to the balls.

Thinking about getting Dead Space now that you can find it for under $20. Gotta get ready for Dead Space 2!

That being said, I have just started play Halo Wars. Love this RTS game! A bit simplistic version of Age of Empires (makes sense since it was developed by the same company).  It's definitely a game where I still want the Halo experience without the FPS.

I've been playing Deathspank like mad for the past 24 hours. Think Diablo gameplay meets Monkey Island sense of humour and that's pretty much the gyst of it. I have repeatedly cracked a smile throughout. Thank god for the EA sale, otherwise I would have missed it.

I've been telling everyone about this game because it is out on multiple platforms, XBLA, PSN, Windows, and Mac. Again, great addictive game.

I think I've said it before but I will say it again. I am LOVING Castlevania: Harmony of Despair!! Just got the DLC for Orgins level and Simon Belmont character. It's like playing a fast paced Castlevania for NES. Even Simon is in 8-Bit!

8-Bit goodness on a 360. I guess I'm gonna have to buy Megaman 9 & 10 next on here since they are in that great 8-bitness, but I'm waiting for when they are on sale.

What time zone do you live in? I live in GMT -5, however I work shift work for PD here (i.e. weird hours) so chances are good we can set some time.  and my weekends are Monday/Tuesday so I can also play regular hours too on those days...

I had no clue about the Doom3 alpha! I'm going to have to check that out... Sounds way more interesting than the released game.

I got Super Meat Boy yesterday for $3.75, and so far this game is GLORIOUS.

Great game btw! It's on sale on XBLA for $10 i think. I almost bought it, but ended up getting Comic Jumper and Castlevania: Harmony of Despair instead. Can't wait for Limbo to go on sale, I'm dying to get that one!

BTW: for those who love the old school Castlevanias, think of Castlevania series from NES with 6 player multiaction via Xbox Live. That dream is Castlevania HD. GET IT!!!!

ATTENTION: Dayv needs our help
Time

I come on here for my monthly check on the site and I see this! What a surprise...

Here's what I think/know. Dayv has had it pretty tough the past couple years. I speak with him at least every other week on the phone to see how he's doing. He's had to move multiple times and even stayed at my home for a month or so.

During that stay in 2008, he told me he had cancer and showed me his paperwork from the Cancer Center in Tulsa (He moved there after leaving his home but prior to staying at my place). I don't want to give any details about the paperwork due to keeping his privacy, but it did recommend he seek further tests and it was extremely concerning to him.

I don't have any proof of his cancer, and I'm not going to ask for proof. I do know it is relatively simple to obtain a copy of any paperwork given from any doctor's office or hospital.

What I don't completely understand is how he didn't have insurance all this time. I understand many people don't, but if a person does not have a job, especially being homeless, one would think they would qualify for medicaid and able to take advantage of other programs available. I suggested these and more to Dayv but it seems he did not do any follow up.

So the question remains... Do I believe Dayv has cancer? I honesty don't know. I believe he has embellished the truth on more than one occassion in person, on the phone, and online. I really don't want to believe anyone would lie about having such a debilitating disease, especially someone I have met in person and hang out with on rare occassions.

Everyone has bouts of bad luck, but I find it hard to believe this much bad luck can befall on one person over the course of a number of years. I wish Dayv nothing but the best and hope things get better.
