The staff at FE blames Frink for any issues there too. See, we have so much in common.

Let's not dwell on what issues may or may not have existed, and instead focus on a stronger community
I would do it if I knew how. Has anyone tried this?

Very awesome.
Reave here, owner of FE
I have been thinking about this for a long time now, and recent events have inspired me to move forward on it.
Originaltrilogy.com and Fanedit.org have had a shaky, if not usually respective relationship at times. The time has come to bury all of that, and move towards a more unified and powerful fanedit and preservation community. I chose today because it is a day of great tragedy that has seemingly already united our sites in the common cause of preserving and enhancing the legacy of Star Wars.
I personally have had an attachment to Originaltrilogy.com since its earliest incarnation as a simple petition to release the Original Trilogy on DVD. I moved into the community further as the site developed into a wonderful resource for all things related to Star Wars video projects. Then came The Phantom Menace, and our little community received a spark that exploded into the fan-built community that we sometimes forget the value of.
As I moved into fanediting myself, I joined the then brand new community of Fanedit.org, while still using originaltrilogy for the valuable resource it is and to maintain the great friendships that I had built there. As time has passed, and my personal life became busier, I had less time for OT and lost touch there. I also began to notice some of the bad mouthing that was going on between the sites, and was turned off by it all. Thankfully, most of that animosity has died down, and I have been enjoying my visits to OT.
Reflecting on that all recently, I realized that it wasn't FE or OT that was responsible for the animosity, but rather the actions of a few bad seeds. It is time to push those who want to divide our community out of the way and allow our complimentary scenes to become a united community. With that all in mind, I recently decided to make my feelings and the mutual feelings of the staff at FE official.
And so from this day forward, September 16th will be known as International FE<3OT Day. A day that could be blackened by the release of the horribly disfigured Star Wars Blu-rays, will instead be known as a day of community rejoicing in our common goals of preserving and
enhancing the Star Wars legacy, as well as the other great movies we all love and enjoy.
I have asked all FE members who share my love of OT to proclaim their love for OT by changing their OT forum signature to the FE<3OT logo.
I want to thank Jay, Moth3r, all the staff and the wonderful forum members at OT for creating and maintaining a wonderful site for the Star Wars and fanediting community, that ultimately helped foster FE itself. Now more than ever, you are a truly valuable resource to us all.
Thanks guys. Long live OT!
What a great project. I was just complaining to my wife that the available DVD's for Thomas are crap, and I want them for my son to watch.
Look forward to seeing your progress with this.
A good choice indeed. Congratulations, SilverWook. :)

I LOL'd. Can't wait to see this. I would pay $100 for TRM before I would buy the abortion that George is releasing.
I have a version from TV. I do remember those scenes, but I'm not sure if they're on my capture. Will check it out sometime.
very interesting project. good to know about the BD being deficient. I'll wait to ess if they fix it before any purchase.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Jambe.
Great news about Star Wars Begins.

And FE has a reputation for not caring about individual editor's works. I'm surprised he bothered to say anything. He must be new to FE.
I'm not really sure where you're getting that FE doesn't care about individual editors works, but whatever reputation you think FE has or had for that is far from the truth now. There will always be bad seeds at FE as well as OT, but that doesn't or at least shouldn't reflect on the site as a whole. I've witnessed some pretty nasty stuff at both sites, but never let it sway my opinion on the community as a whole.
I took over the reins (along with a wonderful crew of admins) at FE when Boon left, and one of the first things that I did was reach out to Jay and offer the proverbial olive branch between FE and OT. There is absolutely no reason why our two sites can't get along, and being a long time member of OT and FE, it pains me to see the malice that is displayed between members of the sites.
There is so much potential for cross-pollination in our sites, and I would love to see a better relationship grow between them.
SuperShadow? ;)

I heard this will be released like Blade Runner, ALL versions of each film on its own BD, ALL previously released extras from VHS,LD's and DVD's plus some we have not seen, ALL audio mixes, ALL color the way it is supposed to be, and the entire BD set is going to be packaged in a HUGE Collector's quality Millenium Falcon, I am ALL OVER that!
So pre order now.
Hmmm, I detect a hint of sarcasm.
And as for the new "howl", I'm calling shenanigans.
Anyone seen the Amazon DVDR?
I've read that it's a beautiful anamorphic widescreen picture, probably sourced from the HDTV broadcast....
And I've read that it's a grainy fullscreen waste of money.
Would like to know which is really the case before buying this. With my luck with this movie, I would buy it and a blu-ray would be announced the following day.
Thanks for moving this, Moth3r. :)
The Incredible Shrinking Woman is playing in HD on HBO, right now. I have no way of capturing this. Can someone PLEASE cap it?

Very cool looking project, DJ. Always happy to see your work.
Anyone? Anyone? Adywan?
Sounds great. I'd like to see how you cut the dewbot scene without a hard audio cut. I didn't think it was entirely impossible, just not worth the effort for a jokebot that shoots soda cans for a weapon.
I've thought of rearranging some of the scenes similar to what you mentioned.
Would like to see what you come up with.
Take your time. We know you're good at that.
;)
I'm already in the planning stages of a fanedit of ROTF, as are a few other people.
I have a 3 DVD version. I can post screenshots if someone wants to compare.

You can't create drama and expect it not to follow you around.
Teh innernets never forget.
I understand and agree with you, I just hate to see the people that I like fighting over old, silly stuff. It makes me a little sad inside.
