Right. I didn't really mean a "great" capture but rather, a good capture. A capture worth editing/preserving. So, does this look like a decent capture device?

The only feature I don't really see on this that the is on the one you listed was "De-interlace". Not really sure what this means.

I want to get a good capture card for my PC. Can anyone recommend a card less than $150 that will give me a great rip of VHS/LD. I was looking at ADS Technologies API-555 Pyro Av Link with adobe Premier Elements. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK. I've had pretty decent luck figuring out the newsgroups thing, thanks to a few wonderful OT.com members and some tutorials, but I'm having no luck with this problem. I grabbed the 97 ANH SE DL, and when I tried to unpack it, I got the following errors:

I have a friend who told me that he saw ROTS IMAX, and that it had cut out the perfect amount of film. I'll double check with him, but I'm 99% positive he said it was ROTS.

I would think that 2 gigs of memory would be enough. Xnews just seems to take off on a limitless climb in ram use.

I too was blown away by the ADM Pearl Harbor edit. Finding the potential in a Michael Bay film is quite a task. I'm looking forward to the ADM Transformers Movie edit (wink, nudge).
