Info & Help Wanted: to help preserve the OT... (Original Transformers)
Time
I have a UK DVD of Generation 2 that has "More than meets the eye" parts 1, 2 and 3, "SOS Dinobots", and Heavy Metal War. I'd be interested to see what your tapes have on them. I watched it recently, and OMG what a bunch of CGI crap. It's the Transformers version of the PT.

I'd be curious to see what the Madman transfers are. If it's a 5.1 mix, then it's most likely just the Rhino transfers. Are the Madman sets the ones in the silver tin from China?

Here are some links to a great website that points out the flaws in both the US and UK versions of the G1 DVDs:

Season 1
Season 2 part 1
Season 2 part 2
Season 3 part 1
Season 3 part 2/Season 4

Does anyone have decent copies of the original broadcasts of the original Transformers (1984-1987) cartoon? If you’ve seen the Rhino boxsets, you may have noticed the extra sounds that Rhino added in (disgusting), or the fact that they used the pre-broadcast master tapes which didn’t have the final artwork done, and there are some (non-original) animation errors.

I remember seeing VHS tapes, VCDs, and DVD-Rs of this all over the web and Ebay until the Rhino sets came out, and now they’ve completely disappeared. If anyone has these, or knows someone that does, please let me know so that a preservation project can get rolling.

I’d like to find as many commercials, bumpers, news items, etc. that can be added as bonus material, instead of the crap Rhino put on there. I’ve seen the commercials on a few TF fansites, but never any that I could grab of any decent quality.

Thanks in advance for any help out there.

Howard The Duck - special edition (Released)
Time
I sent as many messages as I could to all the bidders on the "Special Edition" Widescreen Howard the Duck DVD. Ebay limits the number of people you can randomly contact every day. The only person out of the high dollar bidders that I couldn't get to is magnolia-fan

Finally got to watch the whole disc. All I can say is thanks a billion DJ. Hopefully the missing scenes will show up in HD and can be edited back in.

Info: Coming Soon On HDTV...
Time
Dear God, would somebody please capture the Incredible Shrinking Woman? I have longed for a decent copy of this for a long time. I even have a cover in the works for whatever version I end up with. SilverWook made me a Copy of the Discovision LD, but it has a weird stutter to it, and incredibly soft picture. Please, for the love of everything cheesy, capture this movie in HD.

'Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation' (Released)

That was completely.......AMAZING! They really did brilliant work for next to nothing of a budget. Great shot/set recreations, and amazing stunt work. They seemed like really nice, humble guys too. No, it's not original work, but it was really inspiring to me. I've been tossing around ideas for short and feature length films, and I was really motivated by seeing this. If you get the chance to see this, I highly recommend it.

I'm hoping that they can include a copy of this on the potential Daniel Clowes film. I'm not sure how the rights would work out for the soundtrack with the John Williams score though (not to mention the intellectual property rights of the actual story/images). We were quite lucky in that this screening had the whole audio track including the John Williams score. I've read that it had been edited out of screenings when they feared legal problems with Spielberg/Lucasfilm. Perhaps a DVD release could be made on the condition that all proceeds went to charity, as that is the current agreement for the screenings. I don't think Lucasfilm would have to fear this cutting into sales of ROTLA.
