What do you mean take the line? Take out the line? Why should a classic's story be changed to suit later inferior spinoff films? Why don't we just take out Padme's death scene? That's the thing that obviously shouldn't have been put in.

and no, padme should die, otherwise u'd have even more gaps. questions would pop up saying, "did she marry bail?" "how did she die?" and so on. whether u like it or not, it stays.

yes there are flaws. but still they blew me away. the music, action, and storytelling, aside from the romance,

and i can stand for just bobba's voice being changed and jangos remaing, it just seems weird that when bobba fett is an unaltered clone, keyword clone,   that is voice would be different.

The way you feel about Greivous is pretty much how I feel about Hayden's version of Anakin.

Now are you beginning to see what a mess the prequels created? Why should an incident like this have happened? The other came first, so the new ones should have been made to fit, but they were not. Which is odd, since they market them as a saga. Had the prequels been a reboot of sorts with their continuity trumping th OTs, then I would have given them a pass on things like this, but as it is, there were suppose to be the back story to the earler films, and they put soooo much love and care in making the PT that it fits perfectly with the OT story... errr... well it should have. Why should the OT have to have been changed in order for the PT to work when the PT simple could have followed the facts that have been set out by the OT. 

Dying of a broken heart was an absolutely ridiculous idea, and as a result, we have a gaping plot hole. Perhaps this could have been explained away well enough had Leia been born first and the one Padme held, but instead George decided to not to worry about it, because Luke being born first was more important.

 

How do we change that? That is just the thing, I spend hours behind the computer trying to figure out a good way to edit ROTS to fix these problems. I found a few ways, but it never really worked, and it resulted in a very chopped op, incomplete feeling film. I really wanted to like the prequel trilogy I really did. That is what makes me so mad about this. I was willing to look past its flaws and like it, but the flaws are just over whelming! I tried to change them via editing, but in the end I just gave them up and disowned them. I decided they were not worth the effort.

Some people can look past the flaws and ignore them, but I don't feel they are even good enough movies to make such a compromise for.

 

Now I bet that line will be cut from ROTJ in the next "finished" version of the OT. So rcb, you will probably get your wish.

i already realized the mess the prequels created. i've managed to find a way past that and go with my own theories of how it happened. i usually end up telling myself that the same story is still told and has the same outcome.

by the way, grevious isn't anydifferent from the movie then he is in the show.

that brings one thing up, that scene when leia tells luke about their mother, needs to be fixed. anyways. good parodies. i'm just glad i didn't have to watch the kids get slain. doesn't change my mind that darth vader is my favorite character.

there's a second one that just has qui-gon jinn appear. i neglect the mace windu.

from wat i've read in the novels, anakin only rarely go one or two shore leaves with padme. of course they wouldn't last a day 'cause obi wan needed help.

but yes obi wan did know all along, and didn't tell anyone because he was concerned for anakin and would do watever to protect him and padme.

from my knowlodge, yoda had an idea that something was up, but never said anything to confirm that he knew there was a thing going on between them.

the whole senate overthrown deal, if you listen in the movies, the dark side has a way of clouding a jedi's mine as so to be invisible to them. the darth bane novels go deeper into that btw.

Going a bit off topic here but i was watching ROTJ in HD tonight and i had always though that the Coruscant footage was people celebrating and pulling down the statue. i always though where the hell are the imperials and that the celebrations were too soon. There is some real potential for a sequel series to ROTJ here. The Stormtroopers (assuming they are still Clones) were created by the senate to protect the Republic. They were genetically programmed to obey orders without question so can they be held responsible for what they did during the Imperial period?  To maintain the Empire there must have been millions of them so what happens to them after the civil war (will the New Republic start it's new age by building concentration camps for the genetically modified and brain washed consequences of the Old Republic's assisted suicide?) How does the New Republic deal with the possiblity of someone else building a Death Star now that the technology has been proved to work? Does it build it's own?

Love the idea of redubbing the scene as a riot BTW.

 

I don't think most of the troopers are clones at that point. They don't have the accents plus they are different heights. Maybe the cloning facility became to expensive for the Empire or the sadistic Palpatine just felt like supplying his army with some fresh blood.

 

the clones only had a lifespan of twenty to thirty years due to the genetic engineering. the empire used the majority of the leftover clones to train other recruits at the various imperial acadamies because of their combat expierence.

the stormtroopers lack that, and obviously not very smart.

on that subject. don't you think luke would've noticed the wampa? or was it barried in a hole? well, i guess in the novel it talked of it jumping out of the snow and attacking a probe droid. idk.

the whol han thing, never bothered me once. i think that part should just be kept in there.
