I’d love an HD version of the 25th Anniversary edition. Carpenter oversaw a color regrade that made it look like it was actually autumn in the mid-west instead of spring in California. It really looked great. Lost to time I assume.
Ah, yeah. I was very happy back in 200(2?) that his Spider-Man soundtrack didn’t sound too much like Batman. Seemed to have a different feel.
I do think many of the soundtracks (during the films, I haven’t listened on their own) fall into the “Elfman sound” and sound samey. But I generally dig it.
I approve of anything related to Danny Elfman, except the stuff where Danny Elfman plagiarizes Danny Elfman.
What are some examples? I’m not real familiar with his soundtrack work except for Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.

There are some movies where you never learn the protagonist’s name.
Yep. Withnail & I is one of my favorite films. The “& I” character is in every scene, narrates the story and is never named.
No Country is one of the best films to win that award.
