I love Duracell’s current avatar.

I posted this over at Hal’s thread and I only feel it’s fair to give both upcoming ROTJ edits the same ideas.
May I suggest you cut all of the Emperor’s scenes before the confrontation? Neither of the scenes add anything besides the Enperor bossing Vader around (which sort of diminishes his character). With constant allusions to the Emperor (Moff being scared, Yoda’s warning) there would be a lot more tension when Luke meets him if we haven’t either. It would let the audience build him up throughout the movie.
While I totally disagree that the Emperor diminishes Vader in any way, I do think this is an idea worth exploring.
I love the idea that we’d meet the Emperor at the same time Luke does.
As far as Vader being bossed around diminishing his character, Nah man. The Emperor is THE Big Boss. Vader is his guard dog. Even Tarkin outranked him and bossed him around. Vader just doesn’t hold the rank many fans think he should.
Is there anyway to force-unsubscribe the guy?
Who?

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?
Who?
I’m so confuuuuused!
Will Audrey Tautou appear in Despecialized 3.0 ? Sounds great ! 😃
+1! 😉
Megaman 11 looks really, really great.
^ Very cool. That’s a great poster.
I gotta say, that “I’m the only one who knows what you really are.” “What am I?” *smug-then-nervous-face* part is really winning me over. My favorite part of the trailer and a great indicator of what they’l do with this character. Perfect. My hopes are now high.
Couple of ESB things, rewatching. Does IG88 have knees? Is he ever shown walking in other media?
No, he has no knees. He jumps all around in Shadows of the Empire. I don’t remember if they added knees or what.
why does that one Snowtrooper behind General Veers have a solid helmet with like nostrils but the others have a fabric mask?
I thought they all looked like that. The others have a fabric mask?

Huh. How bout that.
neat.
Forgive me for the cultural appropriation, but ALLOL!
That doesn’t make what I said “wrong” at all.
Jackie Brown - kind of liked it, kind of didn’t. I think it’s my least favorite Tarantino movie to date alongside Death Proof,
I really like Jackie Brown, but it’s still at the lower end of the list for me.
my favorites being Inglourious Bastards, The Hateful Eight and Django.
Hmm…
It’s been a while since the last time I watched Pulp Fiction though
That explains it.
so I might do that tomorrow or tonight.
Do it as soon as humanly possible. One of the finest films ever crafted.
I think I’ve nailed down the reason I had no problem accepting Perry King as Han in the Radio Drama and also the new cast in Trek’09.
-They weren’t supposed to be the same characters.
In the radio drama, we get an alternate version of the events from the movie. In the Trek reboot, we get an alternate timeline altogether. But this guy is supposed to be the same Han we know from the films, and that’ harder for me to take. I really dig the trailer, but I think the best case scenario for me will probably be taking this as an alternate look at things rather than a canon happening.
Or maybe I’ll buy it flat out. I’m surprisingly excited to see!
What really bugs me is the enclosed front mandibles.
Are they “closed”? I thought there was a cargo container in between making them look solid.
JEDIT- yeah, lookin’ at that pic, it looks like they’re closed together. Weird.
It has been confirmed as the funniest Star Wars movie to date, apparently.
Good grief. The humor has begun to get a bit overboard in the new films for me. Rogue One had a nice balance of humor similar to the OT which only has a few subtle jokes. And I’m quite sure a western noir isn’t meant to be the funniest movie in a franchise that has the prequels and TFA+TLJ.
The prequels aren’t funny.
Fact!
And this should be the funniest Star Wars movie.
Probably!
I think it’ll be pretty pulpy,
I hope so.
that’s what’ll tie these genres together, just playing around with these genres in a fun, retro-styled way. It’s all kinda perfect for the character.
Yep.
I think it will be open ended. It’s better to be able to continue the adventures of young Solo.
How old was Han Solo in ANH?
29/30
Gasp! *Runs.*
Ok, so it’s your browser then? Whew…
Fucking potatots, messing with my brain…?
Maybe it’s a Google Chrome thing?
Can’t be the first thing, or we’d all be messed up.
Unless… your allergic to potatots… which would mean… That you’re… AHH!!
^What’s up with the new underlining being broken by punctuation and letters going under the line? Makes it look like there’s multiple links there.
It’s a solid line here.
No. It’s just blue n’ black.

Here’s an article about a new episode of TNG written using a specially programmed predictive text. There’s a link in there to the entire thing too.
Fascinating and hilarious!
Just wondering, is nobody else reading this, or does nobody else think it’s funny?
I still just can’t even.
I thought the white/gold people were trolling.
Still not sure they aren’t.
The problem with criticizing the kamakaze act in TLJ is that in the name of fairness, you’re going to have to nitpick the use of Ion Cannons.
“Well, if a few blasts of an ion cannon can cripple a star destroyer, why doesn’t the empire use more of them against the rebels!”
Have we ever seen an Ion cannon fired from a spacecraft? Seems like the thing is huge, and probably dependent on that big power generator the Walkers took out. One can argue that particular SD captain was overconfident (our first catch of the day) and didn’t have his shields up. We also don’t see any other SD’s get hit.
And while we’re at it, let’s nitpick how Luke was able to leave Hoth with little trouble while everyone else had to go through a blockade.
The Imperial fleet is probably chasing down the bigger ships, (all of which have fled Hoth at that point) and it’s easier to slip away. Space is big, really big Wedge and those other pilots getting to their X-Wings probably did the same.
And while I’m thinking about it, if Leia knew the Falcon was rigged with a tracking device, why didn’t they go out of light speed somewhere far from the base, rendez-vous with a cruiser, and leave Han.
And make sure the cruiser brings Han his money? 😉 There are arguments that the Rebels want to bring the DS to them, gambling that they will find a weakness in time. Han refused to believe they were being tracked anyway.

BOOM SHAKA-LAKA!
I’m old, using a monitor, haven’t even seen the movie and I knew it was Luke!
I was gonna get pizza and share this afternoon, but now I dunno if you guys deserve it.
