Dawn Of The Dead Ultimate Edition Volume 2-UPDATE Discs 1-4 (Released)
Time

So, was Volume 2 ever completed or are we now talking about the DVD set? I've been reading through some of this thread, but it seems the conversation turned from making a Volume 2 to discussing the DVD set.

I would love to have the Volume 2 proposed in the OP!

EDIT: I've read through enough to see that this set was completed. Surely some kind soul could re-up this?

Also, shouldn't this be under the Preservations And Other Fan Projects sub-forum?

I'll never understand why they decided to add the thing with the drink in the comic. Am I supposed to believe he drinks through the grill in his mask or something?

Does it say anywhere, that it's his coffee?

It would be kinda cool if he pulled the cup out of Motti's hand while he was talking, as to say "listen to me you little latte drinking douche!" Then after releasing his force grip he could crush and drop the cup, implying that he could have crushed Motti just as easily. Would be a cool bit of visual drama.

The 2nd "Nooo" Luke says when Vader tells him that he is his son should be removed. The 1st "NOOOOO" was perfect, but the 2nd one sounds really awkward and every time I watch this scene it just pulls me right out of it. Tell me I'm not alone in this thought...

No.. you aren't alone. I've even heard Mark Hamill say that he finds his reaction there hard to watch. But I don't think it would be right to change it for Revisited. Then again, I wouldn't protest either...

kk650's Miscellaneous Regraded Films (Released)
Time

Nice! Will be going for the Alien (theatrical cut! Yes!) and Blade Runner regrades!

What's AOTC?

I know what it stands for, yet this remains a good question...

The thing is kk650 freely admits that these regraded release aren't restoring the original theatrical color timing. They've just basically been white-balanced but in the case of BR releases that have a blanket tint added throughout the movie this may be preferable for some.

Hmm.. well, not as excited as I was a moment ago.. Still, worth a looky.

Man, you guys aren't exactly encouraging me to start watching WDs2.

Hey, you catch on pretty quick! ; )

Unless you have a thing for hour long episodes of people repeatin' the same conversations they had in the last episode (and the next. and the next. and so on.) and a plot that refuses to move, you'd be better off not returning to TWD.

I think the subject of post-mortem photography is woefully underrepresented in the horror film genre.

You mean you want horror films about living people posing for pictures with dead people? Doesn't sound too exciting or scary to me... I love postmortem photography and I actually collect photos, but a horror movie about it? I dunno...

^I'm with ya! The show is lame (well, I did dig the first season), but I love the comics!

I enjoyed season one as well. You'd think Kirkman's involvement on season two would have improved it, but it was awful. I wonder if Frank Darabont would have been involved in seasons two and three if they would have turned out better?

I really think Darabont was a key to the first seasons success... But I'm a bit biased as I'm a fan.

Darabont has done some pretty great stuff, and was a perfect fit for bringing The Walking Dead to life. It is a shame they sacked him.

But hey, AMC learned their lesson: Why keep a guy with great creative vision around who is going to make a fuss about silly things like budget cuts, and creating a quality production when all you have to do is produce a mediocre show and flash Norman Reedus on the screen a couple of times per episode to keep the ratings high.

I think Kirkman made something really great with The Walking Dead, but for the last couple of years it has really done a lot of meandering, which is entirely unwelcome when you have to wait a month between stories that only take you ten minutes to read.

I agree all the way. The comics were great up till after they left the prison... started meandering after that. Still has it's moments, but it's lost me as a dedicated reader. I just play catch-up once in awhile.
