Bobba Fett wouldn't need to visibly cloak his ship as the Falcon has no rear windows or anyway to physically see him following.

Like I said, adywan already handled this. Slave 1 waits longer to follow. The Falcon doesn't have rearview mirrors,

Nuh-uh!  The Falcon does so have rearview mirrors.  If not, then what do the metalic fuzzy dice hang on, smarty pantses?

I said "windows", not mirrors!

Benedict Cumberbatch is now heavily tipped to be included in J.J.'s episode VII it seems.

Yes he is playing Lando.

oh he cant be lando not in this movie if he is in this movie he has to be either a sith lord or Boba Fetts son

Baby Bobba?! Ugh...

And am I alone in loathing the term "Sith Lord"? Maybe it's just that it's tied so tightly to the PT* (which I hate more than you do. Trust.). Anytime I hear or read that term, I hear Ewan McGreggor saying it in a very snotty tone. I think it's from ROTS, but I could have made it up on my own (Except for clips from the RLM reviews, I haven't seen ROTS since it's opening night).

*Yes, yes, I know the term "Sith" existed before the PT was made, but  it's never used in the OT.

Sure. I don't really fancy doing it myself, but if you'd do it, I'd be delighted to use it :-)

Well, it turns out that many of the SE sounds aren't as commentary free as I originally thought. If I could get a rip of the BD audio, I could use that to isolate the commentary from the track and add '77 audio behind it.

So, anybody got a rip of the BD audio?

Bobba Fett wouldn't need to visibly cloak his ship as the Falcon has no rear windows or anyway to physically see him following. Bobba would just need to block himself from the Falcons radar, which has been mentioned in the films as a possibility in other situations and I'm sure Fett is crafty enough to do so.

I'll give it a shot. Is there a list of SE audio changes somewhere? I can tackle the ones that stand out to me, but I'm sure I don't know of all of them. (guess I could patch in the '77 audio any time nobody's talking...)

Also, are there download links for the BD commentary track and the '77 stereo mixes, or should I just rip the audio myself?

Is anybody interested in doing a re-mix of the BD commentary to remove SE sound effects and replace them with the original audio? This probably isn't to big of a deal to most folks, but I'd prefer no traces of SE on the De-Ed. The biggest offender (for me) is the new Obi-Wan howl, but there are a few other instances of SE sounds coming through loud n' clear between comments. Shouldn't be too hard to mix in another audio track during most of these moments becasue there is nobody talking.

I'd be up for trying it myself if there is interest.

WATER TEMPLE! You've haunted me since 1998. Now I've returned and you're still the same ol' soggy bitch you were back then. "Go do this! Now come back and do this! Now go do that! And come back and do this again!" AARG!
Supposedly the 3DS version has color coding to make it easier to figure out. I don't think I made it that far before my eyes fell out.

It is indeed color coded and market. You can also set the Iron boots to the touch screen, which makes the temple super easy, especially if you're like me and did a low heart run.

Well, that would be nice and handy. I'd love to play the 3DS remake, but it's the only 3DS game I want, so I have pass for now.

Anyway, Water Temple is behind me. It's the only part of the game that seems more tedious than fun.

...wouldn't CGI have been sufficient and easier for this sort of thing?

For some strange reason, I heard George Lucas's voice in my head when I read this post.

Ha! You aren't alone!

I'd imagine tracking a CG chest without it "hovering" above the original shot would be a nightmare. And an all-CG shot would stand out too much, I think.

That's my thinking as well. Why use a cartoon when you can use something real?

Makes you wonder, why the Death Star wasn't called Star Destroyer, and the Star Destroyer wasn't called Death Triangle.

Because they obviously were based on the real Destroyers used in WWI and II, but instead of the sea they are used among the stars, hence Stardestroyer.

You just blew my mind. I never realised that is why they were called Star Destroyers like 'Imperial Destroyer'. Obvious when you realise it. I just grew up thinking the Empire had picked a threatening sounding name.

and when I said they destroyed stars I was joking. should've emoticonned that one I guess.

I tried to point that out in a different thread. Jus' sayin'. ; )
