Then frickin move to a place where you feel comfortable, safe, and treated equally.  Maybe then  we can actually have a real conversation with you and not the lone savior of the gay people.

Hell, even Zorro The Gay Blade was far more compassionate, understanding and fun than you are these days.  yeesh.

 The back of the bus?

No, someplace nice .... maybe the Philippines, Amsterdam, Spain ...... someplace where the landscape is beautiful and beautiful culture surrounds oneself.

This is beyond insulting. Have you any idea what it takes to move to another country? Obviously not.

I don't remember addressing this to you .... I was answering a question from Bingo.

And I don't recall giving a single fuck who you were addressing, you pompous ass. And you weren't answering any questions when you told Bing to move to another country.

"don't remember addressing this to you..." Sorry lord asshole, but if you want a private conversation, move it to PMs.

Straight people don't have to fight for equality.

Then you live in a box.

Please, give us the details of the hardships us straight folks face and how hard we've worked to overcome our gay oppressors. I'm all ears...

I am not going to participate in your twist of this subject.  I have explained what I meant and of course Frink had his say to try and encourage more discord.  I hope you enjoy peace and quiet because that is all your ears will get from me.  Anything you post about it after this is of your own creation, not mine.

I don't care how this started and this is no "twist of the subject". I'm asking you to respond to something you just said. If you're to weak to defend your own words, so be it. But don't expect me not to point out and respond to such ridiculous statements.

Watching the prequels gets a little strange once the watching begins.

 Fixed ; )

I actually haven't seen the Ridiculous Trilogy yet. I was waiting for the PT to be finished so I could watch marathon style, but still haven't gotten around to it. I'm also almost completely un-spoiled to them as I've only read the first page of each thread. It's nice to have something to look forward to.

Probably still another year away, unfortunately.

Oh... I thought you were done with the PT and had the OT in the works now.

First two done, third in the works.  I started OT threads just to give people a place to park ideas.

Ah, ok. Well, like I said, it's nice to have something to look forward to... Though I might cave and just watch the first two soon.

But really, your idea is really good Duracell! I'd watch that movie or read that book!

It's very annoying to me when I'm invited to watch a movie at a friends house on their new humongous super HD ultra plasma-whatever TV only to realize that all the money they spent on the TV and BD player is for nothing because the motion enhancements are turned on making the film look like a speed up soap opera. Even more annoying when I'm the only one in the room who even notices this and everyone else insists that it's better this way. Ugh...

I am afraid it is looking more and more like it will have to be either him or me in this forum.

(starts chanting) Bing-o! Bing-o! Bing-o! Bing-o!

I mean no offense by taking a side, but if it's down to someone who contributes to conversations and ideas on all parts of this forum or someone who does little more than whine exclusively in off-topic... well, the choice is clear for me.

Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**

Yeah, but still. Maybe I didn't word it properly. Who would be a more likely father? I'm sure Han would do fine but he just inherently doesn't seem like a family type.

I hear ya. I guess it's all point of view. I grew up around guys much more like Han than Luke (well, my father is much more Luke than Han, but I'm talking about peers.) and I've watched them change into responsible adults and wonderful fathers.

My siding with Han also comes from the films. He's the one who falls in love and we see that change him. Well, that and his dirty deeds landing him in a block of cement. I'm sure that had something to do with it as well ; )

This is my own take on things, but by the end of RotJ, Luke seems to be more focused on his training as a Jedi and possibly spreading the "good word" of the force than settling down and starting a family. Han is in prime position to be doing just that the last time we see him. So, for me, Han is the best pick for the daddy role in the new films. Also, this way we don't need any new characters and explanations as to where the kids came from. It's already been set up In TESB (where Han and Leia fall in love) and ROTJ (where their bond is cemented).

Though, if after 30 years Luke still hasn't found a guy or gal... well that will just be sad. I like Luke. I just want to see the boy happy!

I'd much rather Luke has a kid than Han/Leia. Which seems like a better father?

You realize that people grow up and change, right? That not everybody is as reckless at in their 40's as they were in their 20's? I certainly hope the writers will allow these characters to have grown and changed, but I'm betting on them being stereotypes of their OT characterizations.

No no, that's after the battle. I mean where are they when Han & Co. are caught in the net, about to be eaten ect.

I answered this on another thread somewhere.

When Luke comes back and Leia is missing Han orders them to stay put while he, the remainder of the command staff (in a homage to Star Trek) and two brightly coloured, reflective noisy machines go off to be captured for plot reasons.

Yep, you're right. Still, Muddys ideas would make it more clear as well as helping the pace of the film.
