I thought the U-Wing was gonna be a one-off, cobbled together type of ship, but that poster shows two of em.

WHY is there a trench leading straight to it that enables your enemy to remain hidden from most of the blaster fire and possibly even hidden from view of the fighters defending the ship?
I figure the trench makes it even easier to confine and blast anybody trying to attack. It’s also an obstacle that makes getting to the one weakness more challenging.
It could also be used as a utility road used by maintenance that leads to other points for quick fixin’.
Happy birthday, Possessed!
Can we answer with the prequels? They’re not Special Editions, but I can get the logic between pretty much every SE change.
You can’t get any logic out of this:
Probably this:
So,
Lizard-guys shirt changed from green to red is the current winner.
Obi-Wans new scream a close second. (it’s more obnoxious, but the color change isn’t even noticeable, making it more pointless)
This is still the score.
Cooooool! I love seeing practical effect go into this!

I like “Buddish”.
1997 versions. At least I have fun memories of seeing those in the theater.
Really? I only remember being utterly aghast, appalled and mortified.
If anything, those versions have the most negative emotions attached for me.
Which I guess makes sense since I never watched any other versions. Or even the '97 RotJ…Yeah, I have fond memories of it. I was only 14. It was the first (and only) time I ever saw the OT in a movie theater. And as a middle schooler, I actually thought a lot of the changes and additions were neat at the time. Like many people, I never expected them to completely replace the originals the way they did.
I have good memories of the ANH SE opening night in 1997. It was a good time and a fun night at the movies. I also remember cringing at Greedo shooting and thought the Jabba scene was total crap (it’s just a repeat of the Greedo scene and introduces new continuity errors and plot problems!). I also remember seeing the new Jabba in the Star Wars Insider magazine and thinking it looked terrible but would be “finished” by the time the movie was released. I was wrong.
I had no qualms with any of it because it didn’t think this new version would replace the one I love. I was wrong.
Better question: Why is the animal above identified as a living Krayt Dragon?
*sigh* fine, I give up. thanks for ruining this.
seriously, why couldn’t this have been kept the way I wanted it? We normally follows the rule given in the first post of a thread.
Makes sense but I could have sworn this novel was about Jyn’s father and the creation of the Death Star.
If it is Magic Stick Man the problem I have would be smaller but it would still be there. I would prefer his character to believe in The Force but not be able to draw upon it.
Ah, I haven’t followed along very closely, so maybe it is someone else.
Judging by his action in the trailers, I’d say Magic Stick Man has some force connection. I’d actually like MSM to be able to do things with the Force, but not really control it or understand it because nobody’s been around to teach or even explain it.
Isn’t it the blind guy with the powerful stick?
^ Same here. I love the OT, but hardly any of the rest of the movies, books, comics, games, etc. look or feel like Star Wars to me.
Are you confident enough to say it a fourth time? 😉
Truth.
Leia was raised as royalty, so of course she knows how to sound “proper”, but she’s not just some posh princess, so she also knows how to drop that act and be a normal person.
What about when she talks to han about the money near the end of the movie? Was that so she could come off as kinda snobbish or something
Yep. Notice it’s her line “If money is all that you love, then that’s what you’ll receive!” that gets the posh tone, but just before that, her line “It’s not over yet…” is very casual. It fits her character.

The Leia deleted scene, whereabouts in the film you reckon it takes place?
Read the novelization by Alan Dean Foster
Or you could just tell us…
Now that it’s over, I have to declare DoubleKO the winner.
There were several great Halloween avatars, but his was easily the best.
Never have I met a fandom so desperate to grasp for straws as this one.
I don’t think there’s a fandom that has to grasp at straws the way this one has to.
Well that’s no fun.
^ That’s great! The DVD icon not hitting the corner is my favorite.
Did the Ewok movies have wipes?
You mean besides the ones I used to dry my tears during those two emotional masterpieces?
I can’t decide on something to make for dinner. Any ideas?
