I’d love to try it when you’re finished! Could ya e-mail me a cold one?

^ Yes!
I saw the scene where Beast transforms back to human. Belle looked so bored it was hilarious!
^ all of that.
If he died when he became Darth, wouldn’t he have been reborn when he redeemed himself?
I can’t wait to get Shin Godzilla on bluray. Easily the best film of last year. 7 academy awards!
^
I love the novel, but I’ve never watched the Slaughterhouse 5 movie.
Kurt Vonnegut was an amazing man and a great writer.
A few do, a few don’t. What’s the big deal?

I thought having Evazan and Walrus Man was a little too much.
I very much agree.
And about the “transmissions vs. Data Tapes” debate, it make sense to me that both happened. They beamed the plans via “several transmissions” and then the crew downloaded that data onto tapes. Maybe I’m missing something (I’ve only seen R1 once), but I don’t see any problems there.
I have seen a few threads out on other boards where people say Rogue One messed up because the death star plans were transmissions - and not data tapes, and also the reverse
Yeah, those are the people I’m talking about. I thought the film handled this just fine.
I would have loved to see them running across the beach with the plans to a transmissions tower though. Seems there are other things that could have been cut so that this would have fit. Maybe not though.

^ Ha! 😄
There is more Star Wars that I don’t like than do, but I don’t come here to dump on what I don’t like, but to talk about what I love. And, as annoying as the few vocal haters are, there’s no better Star Wars forum on the interwebs.
Don’t leave us Joe. You’re our only h You’re a cool guy!
HORROR!
Would it be freakier to know that was only a small fraction of the cats I owned at the time that picture was taken?
“Freakier” isn’t the right word. And, just curious, how did you feed all of them with no income?
I don’t think so, but I’ve had what I believe to be a great way to put those scenes back into the movie in a way that wouldn’t disrupt the opening. Check the link in my sig if interested.
I think the scene of Luke having a beer and a chat with Biggs is my favorite scene in Star Wars even though it’s not in the movie.
I thought Han was just beefing up his own reputation in the original movie to impress Ben and Luke, hence Ben’s amused eyebrow raise
That’s how I’ve always seen it. And still do.
Of course we’ll see the Kessel run. Can’t leave that box un-ticked. bleh.
“How he got his name. How he got his ship. How he met Chewie.” bleh.
I’m slightly interested in the name thing. It’s always been my personal canon that Han Solo is his nickname.
I can’t understand why they were so hell bent on giving a reason we don’t see these people during the OT. They could be anywhere! We hardly see anything of the galaxy in the OT. It’s a very small, personal story compared to the galaxy wide civil war going on.
I don’t mind that the heroes in R1 all die fighting, but all the other options I’ve heard that they were considering sound awful. And I also wouldn’t have minded if there were a few survivors we never see again.

Why would they have to go back to the models made for the '97 SE? Couldn’t they just use the new and improved models used in R1?
Frinks got it right. Fans would have loved Ledger anyway because it was a great performance of a loved character. But the rest of the world (most people) went nuts over it because of his death after portraying such a dark character.
I like Electronic, but my enjoyment is always subdued by thinking “Johnny left the Smiths for this?”
(Ok, so Johnny didn’t leave the almighty Smiths to join Electronic, but it was the next musical thing he did.)He also joined The The around the same time ('88?) mate - not counting his very brief time with The Pretenders just before that.
I had forgotten about his stint with The The. Haven’t heard them in a decade or two. Time for a listen.

(Ok, so Johnny didn’t leave the almighty Smiths to join Electronic, but it was the next musical thing he did.)That’s kind of like saying “I like ROTJ, but my enjoyment is always subdued by the fact that I can’t stop seeing Hayden’s head on Anakin even though I’m watching Despecialized.”
Kind of. It’s just that he went from being one of the greatest guitarist working in a great band to being underused in a project with little substance.
Being annoyed by a change that isn’t present anymore isn’t quite the same as being disappointed by a great musician leaving greatness to be underutilized.
I’ve never heard “Beaner” used that way either. But, as they are like little beans, I wouldn’t take any offense at that use of the word unless the person saying it had already given me reason to suspect racism.
slang for marijuana seeds; usually found in “n****r weed”
(I edited out the n-word)
So…that’s somehow better? I’m just asking, I’ve literally never heard that before. But I don’t smoke.
I’ve been smoking for a very long time and I’ve never heard that term (the one you had to edit). That’s likely the work of a dumb kid trying to be funny on the internets.
I was so let down by TDK that I didn’t even bother watching TDKR.
Begins was decent though.
Me too. I’m not much of a Batman fan, but I really found TDK to be completely overrated. Ledger was good, but the things Ender just pointed out (inconsistent writing, confusing motivation, “Dogs chasing cars”) really crippled not only the character, but the whole film for me.
