I’ll give the Canadians this: Ending a statement with “Eh?” is a fantastic conversation device.
I mean, you could say to someone outside the venue: “Wow! That was a great show!” and that’d be the end of it. BUT, if you say “Wow! That was a great show, eh!?”, they have to respond, or be an asshole. I met a buncha Canadians at a music festival in 2000 and have used this device ever since.
I may have gone too far in a few places.

Random thought on this subject:
I deal with and converse with many many people all day everyday. All ages, all types. Finding out that the person I’m talking with is a Star Wars fan is rarely a surprise and it comes up in conversations fairly often.
However, I NEVER come across anybody who knows what I’m talking about when I bring up the OUT/SE issue. And even after explaining my stance most don’t seem to care AT ALL. At most they find it interesting that I’m so passionate about this subject. Usually they just find my stance on it “eccentric” like the rest of my interests.
I really don’t think there’s much public interest in a restored OT. Harmy’s editions have rallied the faithful, but I think it’s easy to forget how outnumbered we are. Even people who grew up with the originals (and even people who were adults in 1977) are all too willing to believe that the latest thing offered is the best and renders the other versions “outdated”.
Your average person isn’t interested in “cultural history” or “good movies”.
Having said all that, I think fan-made restorations are the only way we will ever get the OUT and I’m just so damned happy that people with the time and skills are creating versions I can watch and love.
^ I like that, except for the pic of Han. I’ve always hated that pic. Doesn’t look much like Harrison/Han to me.
So is this a documentary about the Holiday Special, or just about how some people don’t like it?

We watched many episodes of the TV show last night. Even with the sad news heavy in the air, that show is just endlessly entertaining.
I still haven’t seen R1 since my one time at the theater. I’ve almost bought it well over a dozen times. I’ve now decided to wait a year from my only viewing of it to see it again.
Some of the remaining SE shots bug the hell outta me, but Revisited is still better than the SE in every way.
I mostly stick the theatricals and haven’t seen ANH:R in years, but when Ady finishes ANH:RSE, the ratio will likely become more even.
That doesn’t make you sightly crazy. It pushes you all the way.

Because the guy doesn’t need the added pressure of a countdown, perhaps?
If he didn’t want anybody counting down, he wouldn’t have announced that it’ll be released this month. It’s no pressure that he hasn’t put on himself.
Ady is free to change the date if he needs to, but at this point we’ve been given reason to look forward to it’s release by the 30th.
