I finally had a little free time and was able to make an effort to add Coruscant into the board room meeting scene!

The new FX shots are at :06, 1:23, and 1:25. There’s no audio because the clip I had to work from didn’t have audio, but I can add that later!
For those without AE I think an alpha render would be a good alternative.

I agree with what others have said about applying it to the original and let others add LUTs and other version tweaks.
If you do go the Alpha route, though, make sure you set the alpha to “straight” in the render settings, otherwise it won’t blend well with the footage underneath. If you’re using video copilot’s saber effect, the rendered file with the alpha channel may also blend differently that than it did in AE. You may need to test it in premiere to see if you need to set a blending mode (“add” or “screen” would be my guess) to better merge it with whatever footage is put underneath.

What LUT did you use, if any? It doesn’t look quite as yellow as the official BD.
I believe I used a slightly modified version of Hal 9000’s color correction from his Legendary edit. The idea being to slightly lessen the green tint and warm it up a little.

what are the differences not in Legendary other then the Palpatine hints added (which I like the idea of), Leias space walk removal and Rose doesn’t save Finn? 🤔
These two edits have been morphing into each other more and more with each version, but I think you’ve hit all of the major changes in your list. The rest are small changes, often revolving around humor. For example, our versions of the Hux prank call is different: mine is longer, and has a little more of the humor, but still removes the “mama” joke. Hal also removed Luke’s quip about Jakku being “pretty much nowhere” and Rose’s “You too” after Finn says mtfbwy. I kept those in. I also kept the line about Rey’s parents being buried in the Jakku desert, because I didn’t feel like it was wrong necessarily, it was just what Snoke had showed Kylo-Ren. There’s a few other small changes like that, but that’s basically it!

Yeah, it blows my mind that he was able to animate the models of the people in such a lifelike way. And his lighting of the scenes is insane.

I’m not 100% sure this is the right place to post this, but I wanted to share something my friend made for fun. He’s a VFX artist, and during the pandemic, he went deep into Cinema4D, using 3D models, texturing and a little bit of drone footage of Fiji (that he took). Other than the drone footage, everything in this trailer was generated in his computer!

TestingOutTheTest, we did have discussion I believe about this. To me, it shows Rey’s hubris in assuming Luke doesn’t understand Chewie. I would’ve prefer Luke respond snarkily, “I know what he said.” But otherwise I don’t have a problem with the line.
As for the BB-8 whack—a-mole, it just simply never bothered me. Everyone has their line for humor, and this one didn’t cross mine.
