Didn't somebody create already a "non-official" DVD5 version ?

I know adywan did a color correction of the TB version of TPM....you could probably use that as a basis.
Adywan's version is great, but still cropped (he uses the official DVD) and without the theatrical subtitles
DVD9 with uncompressed PCM audio please :-)

Would a cash donation help to get ESB and ROTJ 2.0 out sooner? ;)
Well it would definitely help you to get banned :-)
Me too

Forgive my ignorance of such matters but one of the problems with these deleted scenes (not just the OT ones but the PT ones 'finished' for the DVD sets but not the blu-ray) is resolution.
I agree. That's why I used Puggo's ESB transfer for my primitive "extended version"
The only thing I DON'T like about it is the font, otherwise it's great :-)
8 DVDs. That was a stupid typo :-)
DVD 1 - Star Wars with 3 audio options
DVD 2 - Star Wars from 1993 LD, 1993 LD audio mix, 2 selectable crawls (Star Wars vs. A New Hope)
DVD 3 - Empire Strikes Back 1993 LD with LD audio
DVD 4 - Return of the Jedi 1993 LD with LD audio
DVD 5 - The Making of Star Wars + SP:FX - The Empire Strikes Back
DVD 6 - Classic Creatures : Return of the Jedi + From Star Wars To Jedi : A Making of a Saga
DVD 7 - Trailers + DVD transfer of bonus features from the Definitive Collection
DVD 8 - alternate music, TV spots, transfer of all vinyls ...
Could we get some screenshots please ? Sounds really interesting
Do you still need a copy ? If more people want it I can put the whole 9DVD set to myspleen
I just found out that the link for the EditDroid set doesn't work on Firefox and Chrome, only on IE. This is the correct (working) link http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/The-EditDroid-Trilogy-DVD-Info-and-Feedback-Thread/topic/1703/

The 80's ITV broadcast IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY had a mono version of the theatrical stereo mix
The 80's ITV broadcast contained the mono mix.
Thanks !

Oh, no, really? I mean I can still fix that for v2.1, it's a simple matter of removing the fighters in photoshop and then replacing the frame, like I did with the faulty frame before but this is a never-ending battle.
I'm sure that EVERYBODY here is VERY grateful for your desire to bring your version as close a possible to the 1977 version. But I know it must be seriously annoying to find MORE changes even this late

... (not sure if my mum has thrown them away or I re-recorded them) ...
Hmm... it's very suspicious how all the evidence from these memories just happens to be destroyed. Maybe George Lucas was traveling around the world buying-up all old VHS copies of Star Wars? Did your mum ever mention meeting up with a strange, bearded man who offered to buy your old junk for a great price? ;)
Yes, it is VERY suspicious. To be honest I thought that I was imagining things but then I came to this forum and found out that people from a different part of the planet claim to remember the same scene(s) :-) And my mother didn't mention meeting a bearded guy but she used to throw out my VHS and MC tapes and/or comic books as a way of the most cruel (for me) punishment.
But we're getting REALLY off-topic now :-)
Did Harmy remove the Y-Wings for this frame ? :-)

As far as the Biggs scene, I never remember seeing it the theater but I knew others that insisted they did see it when the movie was first released. This could be due to the same reason that I clearly recall seeing an extra scene in Empire that was not part of the official release. Before seeing the movie, I got the comic adaptation which featured a scene after the bacta tank with the medical droid taking a bandage off of Luke's face. I saw it in the theater and said "that's not what it looked like in the comic book!" Other people who saw the movie at the same theater commented on the scene as well referring to the bandage as a "sheet of ice." According to rumor, there were a handful of prints for both movies that had workprint scenes left in that were supposed to be removed. I've been hoping that scene in Empire would reappear as a deleted scene or something just so I could see it again but with no luck, of course.
Well I grew up in a communistic country, so the only way how I could watch Star Wars in the 80's were many different high generation bootleg VHS tapes. And the Biggs scene (at the end of the movie, NOT the scenes in the beginning) was simply for me ALWAYS an integral part of the movie. I have "lost" the original tape(s) in the early 90's (not sure if my mum has thrown them away or I re-recorded them) and I still remember how surprised I was when I read on the internet that it was added to the 1997 SE - for me the scene was ALWAYS a part of the movie :-) I was actually SHOCKED when I downloaded the EditDroid bootleg and found out that the scene was NOT in the original version :-) Another different scene I remember is a very short "handshake" scene between Luke and the guy sitting at his side in the conference at the end of the movie (after the " wamp rat" conversation) where they simply shake hands and say their names. I remember it because the guy claimed he's Wedge Antilles, but during the battle of Yavin Wedge was played by a different actor :-) So you guys are NOT alone, unfortunately without any EVIDENCE this stays just a rumour
The 80's ITV broadcast IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY had a mono version of the theatrical stereo mix
Goody goody :-)

I don't want to see CGI in films that were released in a time where CGI was not in existence yet!!
A small correction - CGI DID exist in 1977. Even the original 1977 version contains a few CGI shots, but they're only on various computer monitors etc.

Probably the worst thing to ever come out of my country... haha
What about Abba ? :-)
Oh, thanks for such a quick response :)
A question to all Avisynth experts on this forum - how would you create a simple frame number / time code generator ?
All I want to do is to generate "somewhere" in the video either a timecode and/or the frame number
That's interesting. My VHS copy has the theatrical ending - http://www.dvdactive.com/images/editorial/screenshot/2009/8/anakinshandold.jpg
I own only episodes 1 &2 on VHS tapes.
TPM is a P&S version of the theatrical cut.
AOTC is a P&S version of the theatrical cut except the final scene. The final wedding scene is a widescreen version of the theatrical cut.
I don't think that ROTS was released on VHS, it definitely wasn't released on VHS HERE.
Really ? Then I must check both versions again, because the last time I checked the TB releases were "barely watchable"
