And would you have a problem if somebody else would do such an "unofficial" bonus disc?

Would a nice 1080p version of the 1981 crawl, from a 35mm print help anyone out at this point?
Password: A New Hope 81
[Thanks to Team Negative 1 for providing this clip.]
This is so cool ... Thanks :-)
The 2011 bluray doesn't have the 1981 crawl, but the 2004 crawl
I've seen the SD videos and they're brilliant. So many rumored scenes confirmed ... I hope somebody leaks the iBook versions too
Thank you sire
In that case they will probably be a better source than my set, which I bought on eBay. My tapes were played unknown number of times
Yes, it was a UK-only set (America had a similar LD set that year - the "definitive" collection).
So are you people interested in it? Maybe I could send my tapes to Andrea (Slovakia is closer to Italy than UK)
I hate to repeat myself, but I love the colours
I have the set, but don't have a "proper" VCR. I transfered the first tape on my ~20 year old VCR but I was shocked how horribly it looks
Wasn't one of the officially released edited differently?
Is there any chance to view the bonus content without buying new hardware? Will the content be shown on the Windows or Android Kindle apps or do I really have to buy an iPad or Kindle Fire?
I would like to see it a bit brighter, but other than that, I really like what I've seen, especially the colours!
Exciting !

Clip!
Wasn't this clip included in Empire of Dreams?
Any news about this project? I just bought the czech edition and was shocked that it has almost no special features
Funny, I thought "broad and deep and very human at the same time" is the definition of Star Trek :-)
Ben Burrit? Shouldn't it be Ben Burrito?
No, "creation of 1:1 copies of any unprotected BD media" means that Nero allows you to copy unprotected BDs, not to CREATE unprotected BDs. At least that's how I understood it. Nero ALWAYS reencoded the video. which is the reason why I stopped using it ages ago.
Actually the NTSC>PAL conversion wasn't done by me, it was done by the company which produced the UK VHS tapes, so unfortunately the PAL video was the source
I finished the download yesterday evening but haven't watched it yet ( that's my weekend plan :-) ) However I went quickly through the audio tracks and while I didn't have any problem to listen to the first audio, the second audio track (theatrical stereo DTS HD-MA) was just pure static, and the third audio (theatrical mono DTS HDMA) was sound combined with static.
Of course the problem is that I don't have the correct software/hardware combination to play it, but is there any chance that some of you would upload the two tracks separately encoded in some lossless format (e.g. wav or flac)? I could use the audio from version 2.1, but I would really prefer to have the tracks lossless and I'm sure other people would love that too :-)
Thanks in forward

Any chance we'll ever see an NTSC conversion of this project? I can watch it fine on my computer, but I'd love to be able to take discs with me when I'm looking after my niece and nephew.
Well I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Don't forget that the source of most of these episodes is a pretty bad NTSC > PAL conversion resulting in blended fields. Converting it back to NTSC - would there be any benefit at all (except solving some compatibility issues)? Are you sure your TV and/or DVD player can't handle PAL single properly
EDIT: Wrong thread LOL :-)

Is the only thing that makes these different from modern releases the fact that there are Shatner/Nimoy chats in the beginning? I know that some material cut from the original broadcast was restored for these, but is this same material restored for the DVD/BDs, or does it actually include material never released on DVD/BD?
The "episodes" restored for this TV broadcast were released on DVD. The BluRay versions are again different. The interviews were only shown on TV, they were not released anywhere.
Thanks for the responses guys, I don't have a Kindle so I hope I will be able to "run" it somehow
I know I repeat myself but does anybody know what exactly does digital release mean?
