This is how Harmy made his V2.0.Just his is a shad brighter.I would say lower the brightness by 2% or lower the gamma just a hair, but this is Harmy and others edited's,so it's their opinion.
...That's an IB Tech print, not 35mm. The one Harmy timed it to is in better condition and doesn't have the vagaries of how the digital camera processed the image or whether the Senator used the right bulb
sorry I didn't know :(
I know You-Too and DJ are not using the 35mm but I would like you to please look a the non-faded 1977 Technicolor 35mm print.Maybe this is what people are talking about the colors.

Ok, here are a few screenshots comparing the quality of both BD/MKV and AVCHD to the Lossless Source. Unfortunately the bitrate had to be substantially reduced to fit the video, several audio tracks and the insanely large overhead of the m2ts container (1GB!) to a DVD9.
Lossless Source vs. Bluray/MKV @ 15000 Kbit/sec:
Lossless Source vs. AVCHD @ 6500 Kbit/sec:
Very good comparisons

This is all very useful information and exactly the sort of thread we need on Off Topic (DIY, How to draw, recipes etc etc, these would be much appreciated topics).
If I were to make on slight itsy-bitsy serving suggestion It might get wider appeal if you were to present it as delivered by a character with a television set for a head.
Or maybe a character with a TV-guide for a face.
Something a bit like this :
Just sayin'.
LOL

your welcome
For the computer
or you can use it for a T.V. too.
myspleen invite please,and thank you.
If you have a back-light be sure to put the backlight sensor on.What this will do is only lower the back-light so if you are in a dark room the T.V. won't be bright,so your eyes won't get messed up.If you have a Plasma or an OLED you don't need to worry about back-lighting

Just to clarify - when you say "shots," that means full camera scenes of 100+ frames, right?
Off topic: Harmy, do you mind if I put together that "Gout/Special Edition/V1.0/Remastered" comparison?
cool I can't wait to see them

I might very well use some of your advice.
Step 1:let your T.V. run for 30min
step 2 :pop in star wars episode:III ROTS DVD in your Blu-ray/DVD player,go to options,THX,then go to video test.
3:go to Your t.v menu and click on picture settings.
4:make sure your T.V. is not overscaned(go to post 2 for more info)
5:set color tone to the warmest setting or color temp. to the lowest setting(6,500k;Note: the picture may look a little reddish or greenish at first, but will look natural in a few days).
Step 6 : read all 3 post(not the Edited post 1),start at the gamma, post 12;and stop at the Brightness,contrast,sharpness;post 15 http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/How-to-Calibrate-you-TV/topic/14577/page/1/
7: Follow the instructions in the THX video test on the ROTS DVD
I hope this sums up everything, go to post 2 and watch the videos(in order), for more information.6500k is the standard for PAL and NTSC.5500k for Internet.
XD=:)
ok cool then
Ok thanks Bingowings
Thanks Leonardo that sums it up
U.S. English is my one and only language, I don't know the difference between a thread, forum, etc.
so adywan and his team won't reuse the shot from ROTS
