I see that some of your observations make sense - tho there will be further edits to come, GL just can't resist tinkering...

IMHO GL has a finalised list of errors and stuff to fix - tho he'll be ticking off fixes to that list over a number of different edits and versions over the coming years.

Expensive OT DVD Set

I can understand people covering themselves with the cost of the discs, dvd cases costs, printing and photopaper costs, ebay costs, and postage & packing - but the above is WAY excessive!

robinhood - hope to see the black text on white TDC covers around, there is something special about that style of cover, and it's always good to have an alternate or inksaver version of as many covers as poss.

That is one cool 'inksaver' dvd cover set - only drawback for me is that the colouring of some of the lettering is brown (not black) which I'm not a big fan of - I've been trying to experiment with changing the colours but have had no joy so far...

Cool covers, mageguru - I kind of like the roman numerals with the more original poster art.

Though I always get a little worried when I see the numbers '1997' on the back of a cover (ANH)...

I've noticed that a lot of the direct cd/dvd printers state that they are to be used with printqable cd/dvd discs - am I right in thinking these are the discs with a white surface on 1 side?

or can they print on the gold coloured surface anway?

Obi_Skywalker - the cost prob depends on where you live (postage & packing etc), Rikter has a mean collection of stuff and is VERY competitive on price.

GL seems to have always given the 'technology line' as a reason for the changes - though I don't ever recall hearing of anyone pressing him on the dialogue changes in interviews etc... a shame.

Probably a safe bet that a few differing versions of the official 2004 DVD release dvd covers, inserts and dvd labels will be coming out around Sept 21 - that large artwork included...

The bigger question may well be... Will Jay change the 'Theatrical Cuts vs Special Edition' Forum Title to include the '2004 DVD Editions' as well?

especially as the Sept 21 dvds now make the 3rd major differing version out there...

^ I think you can buy specialised cd/dvd label paper in a pack of 20 sheets, there is usually 2 dvd imprints per sheet of A4 sized paper - ready to printed on and then be peeled off and very carefully placed onto a disc.
