Seems there is a choice of covers (other than the standard silver cover) for those interested in purchasing the new 2004 Star Wars Trilogy SE DVD set:-

Nice link. Verbatim have a high reputation here in the UK - that seems to be a very good price too. Compatibilty rating is decent too (according to dvdrhelp.com).

Hopefully, as if by magic, the compatibilty issues will become more detailed in the very near future...

In reply to your question I believe that they (1993 and 1995 laserdiscs) used the same transfer, thought there may be other reasons too?


Could well do with a Bootleg DVD FAQ... that 'bootleg dvd' thread in the General Stars Wars is getting far too large to search for any required info.
