Were you a fan of Trek before Wars?

You thoughts on the current state of the Trek 'franchise' (I hate that word)...

Not so much a movie - though I'd like to send MagnoliaFan last season's Liverpool FC Season Review DVD and for him to edit it in a way so that Liverpool actually won the league - and didn't finish 4th, and I'll get Rikter to do a cover for it too!

Is there any news on greenlighting a T4 film? It would be most interesting to see how the machines battle it out with Resistance, and how the humans manage to survive and effectively fight a war against a 'superior' enemy...

^ ah - feelings on Star Trek - could someone invent a time machine so I could turn out the light on it just after the shamefully underrated DS9 finished and the mediocre season 4 of Voy ended..?

A few m8s have told me Enterprise started to improve in it's 3rd season - though 6 very insipid seasons of Trek and the last 2 films has put me right off. Perhaps time to let it rest for a few years...

On SW toy stuff - I remember as a kid getting the Speeder Bike from ROTJ - and constantly pressing the button on it so it fragmented into 3/4 little pieces. Remember thinking what a cool toy it was - must have spent hours of my pre-teen existance just pressing that button!

Cyberdine was only one of the major companies that contributed to Skynet (and then Judgement Day).

I went to see T3 with a bunch of Terminator fans - half hated it (and i MEAN hated IT), whilst the others thought it was ok to good, myself - I enjoyed it and found to be more inkeeping with the 1st film than the 2nd.

Interstingly the ending of T3 gives a different complexion on the greater difficulties that John Conner and the Resistance will find in the future in defeating the Machines...

Isn't there meant to be a Special Edition or Director Cut of T3 coming out on dvd soon?

I hope the 2004 dvd version isn't going to be referred as the Special Edition or SE - as they are not. There ar a few substantial changes which marks them apart from the 1997SE version.

This could get confusing...

Hopefully they'll be refered to sommat like:-

Theatrical Edition
1997 Special Edition
2004 DVD Edition
and eventually...
Archival Edition

^ I'm not sure of GL's people mentioning a '2007 Archival Edition', but there are references by them of an 'Archival Edition' on the SW OS.

Hi Jambe Davdar - I did get both Balance Of The Force (Ep1) and The Clone War (Ep2) of the MFE on dvdr. The pic and sound quality are dvd quality, the cuts and insertion have given made the film more inkeeping with the OT (and far less cartoonty than the official versions), and for me they are the definitve editions of the 1st two Eps.

There's a post on them in the first page of this thread

Hope you enjoy 'em...

(I have also come to the conclusion that Rikter has managed to somehow clone himself a few times to keep up with all things SW...

)
