DigitalFreakNYC eh? me too - in the times before Rikter, DigiFreak was the only one who would send the OT dvdrs (mine was the anamorphic set, that became known as the Dr Gonzo) to the UK, or Europe, or pretty much anywhere on the planet. A Top Man.

Most intriguing quotes from Lucas - I hope he decides to release them soon - though I imagine he has SW releases planned for some time to come, along with the new 3-D versions he was talking about not long ago.

Even if he does do a botched job of releasing the OOT on dvd - there are enough talented and determined people on this board to enhance them to what we all know, love and want.

30minutes a session, twice a week at the local community centre. 20% discount for students and OAPs

I imagine the EU addresses this when it comes to Luke training others to become Jedi, though I would not thought the training would be as long as it was for Jedi in the Prequel Trilogy.

Some Trek USA dvd release info (from the DigitalBits website):-

"And for you Star Trek fans, look for the 2-disc Star Trek: Nemesis - Special Collector's Edition on 10/4. As many of you know, Star Trek: Enterprise - The Complete Second Season is currently due on 7/26. Star Trek: Enterprise - The Complete Third Season is officially slated for 9/20 (that's confirmed). Rounding out the series' release, Star Trek: Enterprise - The Complete Fourth Season should arrive on 11/1. Also... and this is something of a surprise... our sources are currently telling us that Star Trek: The Complete Animated Series is tentatively planned for DVD release in September (on 9/6). There will also be a new Star Trek: The Motion Pictures DVD Collection box set on 10/4, along with a 4-season Star Trek: Enterprise - The Complete Series set on 11/1."

The most enjoyable film I've seen for a long time - easily the best Batman film so far - the acting, story, dialogue, direction, pace and feel were all superb - and I hope they do a sequel up to the standard of this one.

Was surprisd by how many famous faces they got for this, and well they ALL did. Will be eagerly awaiting this for dvd.

Now that the Star Wars Sextette (or Sextet or Sextolet) is complete, I wonder if there'll ever be dvd covers for a 6-disc boxset? and if so what, or who, would feature on the covers?

ObiWan, Yoda, Anakin/Vader, The Emperor, C3PO and R2D2 are the only characters I can think of right now that span the 6 films - but Luke, Han, Leia and QuiGonn and perhaps Mace would surely be worthy of inclusion too...

Um... I think we're all Star Wars fans here, Tony.

Some people on here may have a preference for watching Episodes 4, 5 & 6 over 1, 2 & 3 - or a mixture of sorts of the 6 films. The terms PT & OT are just used for easier reference.

In case you havn't noticed, the name of this site is originaltrilogy.com - by definition this site has more topics on the OT than the PT, though there are many differing discussions on the Prequel Trilogy too - and many do not consist of your 'PT suck 'cos of CGI' statement...

ebay.co.uk was the saviour for me regarding dvd cases...

2 6-disc cases £4 delivered - now the the SW 'Sixology' is complete I may as well have a version of all 6 films in one case

5 single disc cases £3 delivered - for the one-off rareities such as Deleted Magic and some of the 2004deSE Edits

4 3-disc cases £4 delivered - always need cases for the differing LD to dvd sets and their differing versions

all decent quality cases

I loved DS9 and thought the series got stronger (season 6 being my personal fave) as it progressed - it's tributes to TOS are many and very well done.

Trek lost out when TIIC stayed with Berman and discounted the qualities of Moore and the other DS9 execs - seemingly more so now that Morre's done such a promising start on the new Galactica series, and Trek had now gone into a much needed hibernation. Recycled stories and direction that havn't differed from the days of the TNG crew has not paid off during VOY and ENT, and it will not in the future, massive changes are needed for quality Trek for the future...

I saw Batman Begins today - was really, really impressed, a thoroughly enjoyable film - seemed that Liam Neeson had some great dialogue early on - very much in a Jedi stylee - that would have been more than worthy for Episode 1, or for inclusion in other SW films...
