^ I think that was a Dr Who ‘villain of the week’ back in the early 80’s 😉
^ I think that was a Dr Who ‘villain of the week’ back in the early 80’s 😉
edit - if you see some on the various ebays around the world, it may be worth asking if the sellers would be willing to do you a hi-res scan for you? - and maybe offer them a few $s for their troubles?
there is one on the uk ebay now if interested? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Episode-III-Revenge-of-the-Sith-Rare-Collectible-VHS-Video-Tape-/122412501609?hash=item1c805a8a69:g:UgUAAOSwsW9Y1Bed
It turns out the seller of that Episode III VHS tape on ebay is a member here - who has that VHS tape for sale as a listing in the ‘Memorabilia Discussion and Buying/Selling/Trading’ Section on here - it may be worth asking him if he could do you a hi-res scan of the cover for you?
That Jyn/TIE fighter shot looks terrible and ridiculous. I agree with Edwards and the others who decided to cut it from the movie. Good choice.
^ as has been widely reported elsewhere.
Director Gareth Edwards on the Rogue One reshoots: ‘it’s a conversation we should have a year or two from now’…
Veronica Carlson - likely best known for Hammer films (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0138040/)
- Tarkin is so close to looking real, it almost throws the whole illusion off
It was amazing what they pulled off with CG Tarkin, but I was always focusing on the CGIness whenever Tarkin was on.
Same here for the first couple of times I saw Tarkin up on the screen - as a bit of a fan of the old Hammer Horror era films with Peter Cushing et al, it somewhat pulled me out of the film to look to see how they did it, how real (or not) he looked, how it worked best (dimly lit shots for me - and I think a really good reflection shot) etc.
Took me a few watches to just watch it for what it was - a pretty good attempt at it, and a near spot-on portrayal from Guy Henry.
I think I’ve said this before, but As a fellow HAMMER fan, I think you might agree;
I couldn’t and don’t believe this being Peter Cushing, but I did and do buy it being the character of Tarkin.Tarkin Lives!
I wish this was the tag line for ESB! I like that his hubris takes him down with the ship so to speak, but he’s my favorite Star Wars villain and I’d love it if he could have made it through to RotJ.
With my Hammer head on 😃 (sorry, bad pun)… as we didn’t see Tarkin get staked or decapitated when the Death Star blew up, for me he lives on 😉
It does make you wonder if Lucas or some of the higher-ups wished they hadn’t have killed him off in Star Wars - like you say, such a great character would’ve been interesting to see further on in the trilogy too…
Amazon still doesn’t have RO stock. This is really weird.
Is it just a US thing?
Rogue One is available to order on amazon in the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, France (when it is actually released, of course).
It’s also available on Amazon Canada and Mexico too.
Most strange…

I agree mate, though in the spirit of Hammer - Tarkin Lives! (which would make for a great title to an intriguing cross-genre horror from them 😉)

Why don’t you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don’t you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don’t you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

certainly not your average footballer, and so far certainly not an average book 😃
^ I think I may have returned to that cave a few times in my adventures playing it - I remember not being very good. Though now after years of gaming & life experience I’m sure I’ll be better this time around…
(there may be a broken copy of Super Star Wars, and a broken snes controller going for free in a few hours 😉)

anyway, came across this earlier - really like the fragments in the lower part of the picture, the overall style, colouring and emotion of the scene:-
^ I’d play it - think I’ve still got Super Star Wars in the loft - may have to give that a go later 😃
What a dick.
Wait, so Pablo was the lizard baby in V: The Final Battle? 😉
Wow, good eye.
I found that scene exquisitely, euphorically horrifying as a kid.Is that the birth where there were twins - a baby lizard with a human tongue, and then a human baby with a lizard tongue?
Loved the V stuff - though sketchy in detail now years later - think they did something ‘meh’ with a starchild (with magic powers of course! 😃)?
Here’s the whole sequence if you want to relive the heartwarming scene. 😉

The “human” baby is the one they pulled the starchild Deus Ex Machina with. Poor little baby Gorn didn’t live long. 😦The lizard baby really got around back in the 80’s.
Cheers mate - the memory really can play tricks over the years…
Still at least Jane Badler is as attractive as I remember her playing Diana 😃 :-
